I am attempting to make a bedroom into a sanctuary as I live next door to a place with regular loud drums and music regularly. I bought 2 dozen panels and spaced them out around the walls and door so that when sound comes in, it is diffused off of these surfaces. As many people point out, these panels don't block outside noise completely but they do dull it to a level that makes it tolerable for me; I also bought some noise cancelling curtains and put down some thick rugs. With this combination, I am happy with the results; they passed the " clap test" even without the other adjustments which means they have effectively deadened the room sound. At a certain point I may buy more to help disperse sound in other rooms as well.The panels are light and easy to hang, and the neutral color does not distract.TL:DR- these are a great purchase but don't expect these alone to do the job.

The panels are closer to 0.4 inches than 0.5, but other than that work quite well, especially for stopping reflection of high frequency noises.

Sticks very well onto my entrance door using indoor 3M tape. There is definitely a difference with the amount of sound entering my apartment. I have a dog who is very anxious and this helps tons. Did research and for best results, recommended to use a vinyl wrap first then have these installed on top. Great product.

They only measure 11" 5/32, which really throughs things off when trying to glue them to a 4x8 sheet of Styrofoam insulation or plywood. why say your 12x12 and then shave off 3/16? just make it 12x12. This comes out to exactly 30cm metric, then they just round up for advertising.

Excellent product. Quality is outstanding and thick than most other panels. I no longer hear my neighbors who like to stand outside my bedroom window and hang out. (Creepy)Also BXI has incredible customer service.If I need more in the future I will buy from them.

I have 12 panels on each wall and didn’t do a single thing. The sounds are still the exact same. I just have squares secured to my walls now as decorations.

I really wish folks would publish specs for absorption vs frequency. These things are very dense and seem to be effective only in the 15K and up range. They were pretty useless for helping with "first reflection" in the upper midrange. They do make a fine bulletin for posting notes. two packs and a lot of work, probably headed for the trash.

I've been working from home since pandemic, and I share office space with my wife. We both have meetings, so you can imagine the noise! I first tried a moving blanket (those thick blankets movers put on pianos and furniture to protect them). Hanging on the wall, it helped a lot to cut reverb/echo in the office.We moved the office into a new room, and I took the opportunity to use real sound treatment panels - so I tried those. They work really well - and they do what they promise:- They cut on ringing/reverb in a room. Clap your hands loudly in the middle of the room you want to treat. You may hear metallic reverb. These panels help to cut that tremendously. Music also plays much more cleanly, especially at higher volume from my studio monitors.- They do not expand or smell. They smell nothing and are ready to apply right away after unpacking.- They weigh next to nothing: you need 3M command strips to hold those to the wall. Two small strips work wonders, and unless you intend to do a mosh-pit in your room, the panels will stay on the walls. For ceiling application, you definitely need more double-adhesive.- They do NOT make a wall or door soundproof. They cut down the echo/reverb and cut a bit on sound, but that is NOT their purpose to soundproof.- You need a lot of these. I suggest you search online for "sound treatment calculator" and you will find plenty of websites to calculate how many panels you need to cover your walls/ceiling. I bought three packs of 12 for a medium room. I may need more to treat the ceiling.- You CAN get mostly the same effect with those moving blankets. It's probably not that much cheaper, just a lot uglier.

Si lo que deseas es reducir el ruido de una habitación esto no te ayudará, pero sí reducen el eco que es para lo que está diseñado.

Estos paneles vienen de buena calidad, los monté en mi área de Televisión y ayudó mucho con el eco, no tienen ningún adhesivo pero con las tiras adhesivas apra pared se pegan perfecto.
