It really works!
It's very common for classic Mopar to start overcharging the battery. Frustrating problem to solve especially when you're dealing with a 50 year old car. Installed this morning regulator and adjusted the charging voltage from 15.5 to a perfect 14.4.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do
Used in an early 70's A body mopar. Works correctly. Drop in replacement part with the additional benefit of being adjustable, which is great if your old mopar isn't quite up to spec anymore in the wiring department. I highly suggest anyone who gets this to double check the mopar service manual for your model car and year, and verify what the actual voltages are supposed to be coming from your alternator. Then just tweak the little VR in the back until you get the voltage in spec. The plymouth book said no more than 15 volts at 1250rpm for my model, and I set mine to 14.8. That way I still get a nice 13.8 volts with the headlights running. Nice!Don't forget to GROUND the regulator to the body of the car with an aligator jumper lead while you're tweaking the VR. It doesn't work worth a dang without a proper ground... so be warned. It's easy enough. Just clip one end to bare steel on the car, and the other end to any part of the case of this regulator. Oh and make sure the regulator can ground properly when you bolt it to the firewall. Maybe scrape away some paint and put some good ol dielectric grease on there? It won't work worth a darn without a proper GROUND! Emphasis on the word GROUND. Oh and a little GROUNDING. And maybe a bit of GROUND. (the grounds on these cars sucked in 1971, and they especially suck now).

It works.
I like the fact that it works and my truck doesn't charge at 18 volts anymore. Hopefully it lasts longer than the last one.

Works great. Buy with confidence.
This regulator worked perfectly on our 83 d150. Couldn't be more satisfied. Voltage remains at 14.3 with everything electrical on. Very recommended product and seller.

This works well!
I bought this to try to get my classic Mopar to be in the 13.5 to 14.5 volt range at idle. The 70s Mopars alternators had weak output at idle. I am setting this to run at 14.8 and then I know it's the best output I can expect without changing to a newer style alternator.
