I bought this as a Christmas gift for my fiancé. Yes, like so many others he’s been watching those YouTube cooking videos of the guys deep in the woods using a similar tool to make dinner. Well, I found this and bought it. And how did he like it?It’s a massive hit!A thick blade. Heavy, incredibly sharp, and if that wasn’t enough to sell itself, it even drew blood on the first night! Yes, the man nicked himself (but was awed at the “cool” sharpness of it, so it was a win-win).It chops potatoes, it thinly slices onions, and is worth every penny. I’d give it more stars, but we haven’t played with it enough yet.Would I buy this again? In a heartbeat.

I wanted something rugged and durable to take on my backpacking camping adventure and this is definitely it! Has an appropriate weight to it, and feels well balanced. IT IS SHARP, even for a thick blade I was able to shave some hair off the back of my hand right out of the bag. The blade came well oiled and we'll packaged so I gave it a quick wash and oiled the blade with cooking oil I would suggest keeping it oiled. My only small complaint is that the brand of the knife deceivingly has demascus in it. At the price point I kind of assumed it wouldn't be a true demascus blade, and it isn't it is forged from plate steel but they should really pull demascus off the product name. It came within a week of ordering it well ahead of the estimated date.

Product reliable easy to clean

Bought this because my husband loves to cook and I love that he loves to cook. He watches all those outdoor cooking videos and this is similar to the knife that guy has. As soon as my husband opened his gift his manliness went up 10 points. Came in the mail super sharp and in a great leather case. My hubby loved it! So score for me and he cooks me plenty of food! Our 11 year old even morbidly asked if he can have the knife when we die one day. I guess that's how cool it is and how well it works. Your children will want it after you're gone.

My fiance got this for me. I'm typing this on her phone. We ordered it on Tuesday and it was here in six days and was well packaged. There was one small blemish on one side, but no big deal. Beautiful knife and came very sharp. The sheath is very nice as well. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this chef knife. You won't be disappointed. I also purchased the bigger bamboo cutting board, which is thick and sturdy. I haven't used it yet but will update from time to time.

First of all, one of the reasons I purchased this knife is because one of the reviews mentioned that it was made in the US.I was very excited to receive my knife today.......until I used it. It wasn’t very sharp when it arrived so I touched up the edge on a stone. And, yes, I have many years of experience sharpening knives.I put a nice sharp edge on it, then decided to try it on something easy. Celery. It cut it. Kind of ragged because of the thickness of the blade. I understand that.The problem is that I was cutting on a nylon cutting board and by the timeI cut up three stalks of celery, the knife was DULL.Oh, and the “high quality leather sheath” is another disappointment. It’s like thin cardboard.Save your money....buy something else.

A little too thick to chop onions but great for harder vegetables and if you need to go through bone. Heavy but feels great in the hand
