When we bought our house in 2016 I thought that it was great that the Chamberlain opener was only one year old. When I tried to program my 2008 Lexus I could not get the Homelink in the car to recognize the code. My wife's 2016 Ford worked like a charm. in 2019 I bought a 2012 car and again could not get the Homelink to recognize the code. After some research, If your Chamberlian opener has a yellow learn button, it uses a code that is not backward compatible with older Homelink cars. This is the answer to get it to work with your older cars. Just follow the directions and it works great.

Unfortunately the product wasn’t up to par for my vehicle …it worked intermittently but had to be right against the garage door for it to operate …I thought being that it was non-returnable, I’d be out the money. I contacted customer service and talk to Vivian who was absolutely a pleasure to work with!She said just return the unit and credit will be made…a class A company to do business with!

My 2011 Toyota Highlander Limited was easily connected via Homelink with my previous Craftsman 1/2 hp garage opener. I replaced it with a 09/2021 Chamberlain 1/2 hp MyQ model and my Toyota Highlander Homelink just would NOT connect.After researching, I bought this and followed the instructions and it connected very easily. A few things -1) Connecting was easy as per instructions in the video on the Homelink website2) Keep the base unit as close to your garage door opener as possible3) If you keep it farther away, it might cause delay in opening or erratic behavior4) I have 2 garage doors and they both could be easily connected with Homelink button 1 and Homelink button 2 using the same remote that comes with the kit5) I am yet to try this on my 2016 Nissan Altima whether the newer Chamberlain opener would connect or not - I am not sure.... But i will try to use the remote that came with kit and see if it can connect both garage openers to 2 different cars...That's it for now - will keep you posted...

Although the product was not compatible with our unit, once customer support was reached, there was no problem with return. Ours is a long story and we had to try this to be sure to not overlook any solution. After purchasing a luxury 2021 vehicle and working with car manufacturer (several technicians on site and on phone and in their place of business), homelink, garage door opener company and installer, no one was able to resolve our issue so we had to try the Bridge.We thought it might work and was hoping that it would resolve our issue. Unfortunately, it did not. So we are still in the same situation and trying to work it out with a new garage door opener for which the car manufacturer will take responsibility. Hopefully, we are on our way to success. It has been a journey.

I thought this would be my answer to getting my car connected to my garage door opener. My son-in-law tried to connect it to no avail. I then called my the people who installed my garage door opener and they could not connect it either. Don’t know what the problem was but my garage door opener was installed in 2005 is in good working order. If you have an older garage door opener this will not work on a new car.

This worked out of the box on the first try with my 2008 Audi RS4 and a newer LiftMaster "MyQ Wi-Fi Garage Door Opener" . 5 stars, I can use my chic HomeLink buttons on the car's visor now.

It took about 45 mins to get this repeater to link up , and it often doesn't work even after being programmed (it's only successfully opens the garage about 5% of the time). The antennas are fully extended and I'm transmitting only 15 feet away. I've never had problems programming other garage openers.The worst part is this item is non-returnable.

I could not get this to work at all. It programed my truck but would not operate the door. Very frustrating! Amazon will not take it back.
