Marvel Myths and Legends: The epic origins of Thor, the Eternals, Black Panther, and the Marvel Universe

I did not think there was a superhero book that my son has not had. Then I ran across this. I was hesitant because of the possibility of it repeating everything in other books. I was sooo wrong. This is my son's favorite book. It gives the Celestials their dues. Most books skip over them and/or briefly describe them. This book gets into them. The Celestials are massively important as they shape the entire Marvel universe and to skip over them or not mention them is just a head shaker.The fight between Hercules and Thor. WELLLL unlike what everyone else states Thor did not lose.Just get it you will love it.

I love this book. It's smaller size gives my bookshelf a much needed break from those large, heavy oversized slipcased DK books, & Marvel Omnibuses.Interesting reading about the beginnings of the Marvel Universe going way back before recorded time tothe coming of the Celestials and the origins of The Eternals. Marvel's version of Norse mythologies. Ancient Atlantean history leading up to the coming of Prince Namor, the Sub-Mariner. Doctor Strange. Iron Fist. Well illustrated with beautiful art.Interestingly written and a joy to read.Highly recommended for the kid in you from ages nine to ninety.A pleasant gift from the people of DK books.

Worth your time to buy if you're interested in the Marvel Universe and collect the Marvel DK books.Yeah it doesnt give anything really more that most people dont already know.Some books repeat stuff.This is one of course.Still great reference tool and has great art to go along with it.

A interesting read on how Marvel uses earths history to create its characters in so many comics. And then tying them together.

Great read

Beware this is not one of those nice big DK Ultimate books on Marvel characters. It is small in size and reads more like a introduction and story vs a comprehension of the stories and characters. I wouldn't have bought it if I had known more about it. It is okay but compared to DK's other Marvel Ultimate edition books for the same price I would NOT recommend it. Information in it is very limited in comparison. I'm giving it an average rating but would score it lower but I feel my disappointment is my own fault for not knowing what I was getting.

Not about the book itself I gave it one star because my book arrived damaged!!! Not happy at all.

Interessante Infos zu den Charakteren und ihren "wahren" Hintergründen.Wer aber erwartet, dass die Mythen und Mythologien hinter den einzelnen Charakteren wirklich im Detail erklärt werden, ist leider falsch. Trotzdem für Fans der Popkultur und Marvel sehr gut zu lesen.

I would say this book amazing. It gives you the idea of the events happened in the Marvel universe it also tells you abot the origins of many charectars thor, black panther, eternals and many more. This book is worth buying for both, begginers and pros knowers of Marvel universe. The best part is it is the recently launched in 2020.

Good read and simple to understand, the mystical legendary mythical side of Marvel Comics.
