I bought the Arts and Crafts full tool kit AND the extra foam "boards" kit. They're for a March birthday gift for a 9 year old. He'll need supervision, but he'll be able to construct things outdoors where he can leave a project while it's being created. I haven't opened the boxes. Well-constructed plastic tools and foam boards seem suitable for that age. The description says there are enough pieces to make multiple items in the original set. There are instructions for 10 projects I bought the extra materials because it's always disappointing to run out of materials when you really get into making projects you enjoy.

I like that they are a foam, so the kids won't get hurt or lose interest because the wood is too hard to get nails and screws in. My 5 yr old grandson loves these.

My two-year-old and four-year-old grandson enjoyed this arts and crafts. Easy to use and enough material to keep them both busy creating. I recommend this for toddlers

I purchased this as a birthday gift for my grandson who will be 6. He would have been very disappointed and may questioned what the "wood" was for... it is quite soft and does not resemble real wood at all. I will assemble my own set from wood scraps, small hand tools, and fasteners I have on hand.

Make sure you buy the tool set! Otherwise a nice project. Bought for a dementia ward.

I originally got this as a gift for my daughter, but she was anxious to use her tool set on something so we decided to open it. What a really well designed product. My 4 year old feels like she’s actually building something and I can let her be creative without worrying that she will get hurt. This item should be in stores!

I was a bit skeptical when I saw the “wood” because it’s not very cute. It’s kind of a see-through peach color. But, when we tried it out I changed my mind! It works really great with the screws and the nails! You can actually build things and my 3-year-old was having the time of his life pounding in nails and screwing in screws. Overall I was very happy with it and I would buy it again. I feel like the wood could be cuter/ more realistic looking and I would have liked it even more but it was good. Also would have liked actual building instructions. They put some in but we tried to follow them and didn’t have much luck. They are supposed to give you a basic idea, but I’d love a step-by-step because my son would’ve loved that!
