Yes, it’s dated. But it’s the best. You can purchase a new common core geometry book and they’ve made it unnecessarily more complex.No, the new “harder” questions don’t teach your kids “how to think…” first teach the basics, practice riding the bike, ***then*** you can do the stunts.But at the heart of Geometry is PROOFS.And this has them galore and it starts off w/ them, right out of the gate.

This Geometry textbook is really helpful for students who are planning to take or willing to take PAP Geometry in highs school.Formulas and explanations of all aspects of geometry are well explained and easy to understand.Also, example questions after each explanation are very basic yet very essential.Practice questions get difficult as it goes which helps students know what parts they do understand and the parts they do not understand.Answers and explanations at the end of the textbook are self explanatory and simple.I highly recommend this text book to students who want to study geometry by themselves over the summer.

As a math tutor, I bought this text book to go with the Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 text books of the same series (and same authors). This series of books is somewhat dated, as compared to the current high school curriculum, but it's very comprehensive.

I bought this book used in very, very good condition for thirty dollars on here. It arrived super-duper fast. I'm in 8th grader going into high school next year and I'm supposed to go into Honors Geometry. But, we have the option of testing out if we can get at least an 80% on a final-like exam that consists of 100 multiple choice and 30 free-response questions. This book offers questions from both points of view! There are standardized test examples which I find really handy! This is the book I would be using if I went into geometry next year. It is really awesome and has past-course reviews such as simplifying radicals and basic rules of exponents. The lessons are easy to follow with clear examples. The only downside is that I'm still having trouble with proofs... URGGG!!!! That's not really the book's fault although I wish it had more lessons on how to begin writing them. There are many practice problems with some even being worked out in the back of the book! I feel like I will definitely be able to ace this test during the summer! Honors Algebra II with Trig. here i come!!!!!!

These books are used by my school district, and I use them as a reference for teaching. What I like about them is they give clear examples and are fairly straightforward and user-friendly, unlike some math texts that are just a jumble of words to read. These have all the important concepts in bold, and in nice neat-looking little green-bordered boxes. And, of course, answers to odd problems in the back.
