I bought this gomdori mandoline slicer for my mom as a gift.She likes to cook all kinds of food and I thought this would be a great gift for her.This product is very popular in Korea, which is how I got to hear about the product, and I got to see a few promotional videos and a handful of reviews online before my purchase. The gomdori slicer was designed many safety features to prevent accidental cuts on top of its exceptional slicing function. There are many useful accessories that come with the product too! There are many options for thickness and widths so it is very versatile for different types of cooking.So far, my mom used this slicer to make spring rolls, radish wraps, salads, pizza and burger toppings and she is extremely satisfied with the product. She is using gomdori for almost all types of cutting. I don't really cook but I feel like I can enjoy cooking when I see my mom using the slicer because prepping looks so quick and easy.Another great thing about this purchase is that it comes with a pair of ArmourTex cut resistant gloves.You don't need the gloves when you are using the gomdori slicer (because the slicer is already really safe to use) but I think it is a great for protection when using other kinds of knives.I feel much better that my mom cooking with safer equipment in the kitchen!There are many other mandolin slicers but this had good reviews and it came with the most usable accessories and a pair of cut resistant gloves!Also it is a great slicer that really does its job right! I would highly recommend the Gomdori Mandoline 2 way slicer! This product has so many wonderful features and accessories! The slicer can be used on the storage container therefore dropping your slices right into a clean container. The storage container has gripping feet to prevent slipping as you are slicing. The storage container also has a lid which is great for covering your sliced vegetables or fruits to store for later use. The slicer has an additional stand. You have the option of choosing various thickness slices. It is so easy to just dial the selector to your desired thickness! This slicer is so great that you are provided with two settings for julienne!! This product is unique in that you have the choice of using a safety cup for slicing small ingredients or the safety grip which holds your fruit or vegetable. But the features continue as the safety grip has a built in carving tool for decorating those vegetables prior to slicing giving the illusion of flower shaped slices. This product is easy to use and clean. The storage container also allows storage of the accessories when not in use. This product has a ton of safety features as well. This product is also dishwasher safe, which makes clean up a breeze. This is a great price for all of the features and accessories that this product offers.
