Reliable, inexpensive
Although this listing says that the brand name is Saim, the unit itself is Penn-Plex Daily Double. Googling THAT product shows the same unit at twice the price! I'm not sure how a different company sells sells this brand-name unit, but I'm glad they do! I had to modify the clamp a bit to fit the top rim of my tank, but it will fit perfectly on a rimless tank.

It didn't work.
This feeder was in a box not in the package as shown in the picture. It wasn't even in bubble wrap inside the box. I am returning it. It arrived quickly but what good is that when it doesn't even work.

It works, but you have to set it up right.
This device is fairly simple and works well once you know what you have to do. There are two important steps to success: 1 - Make sure the fish food is crumbled to almost a powder so that it dispenses evenly. 2 - Let it run for a cycle or two before you need it so that you can see if the amount dispensed is correct. This amount is adjustable, but it won't help you if you try to set it up on the day you leave for a week's vacation. All in all the product works as advertised once you have it figured out.

Love it
I was a little skeptical when buying this item. I was going out of town for about 4 days and needed to feed my fish in a 65 gallon aquarium. When I came back all of my fish were alive!!! Just know that you do have to crush the fish flakes in order for it to work effectively. It won't hurt for you to do a dry run before you leave to make sure you have crushed the flakes small enough. I am going to purchase one for my turtle tank as well.

It feeds automaticly
The best thing is can take off for awhile and not worry about my fish., I had one before but for some reason all of a sudden the dog wanted to see what it was and knocked it down and broke it, she is a beagle and loves to jump. I am not happy with that she is a house guest lol.NO DISLIKES

You get what you pay for
It just dumped the whole container of fish food on to the floor. It was comical. Now I have to buy more fish food. Definitely test before leaving for vacation. My daughter did enjoy the floating fish though.

These automatic feeders worked great. They are easy to assemble and turn on
We bought two of these - one for each of our aquariums. We had to go out of town and no one was available to care for our fish. These automatic feeders worked great. They are easy to assemble and turn on. We took our normal flake food and crushed it up to make it small so it would not get stuck in the chamber when it was trying to feed the fish. The drum barrel rotates and will dump food into the tank twice per day. You cannot set a time for this to go off, but you can adjust times, by changing the position of the barrel to when you want it to feed. You can also adjust the amount that gets fed by turning the feeding mechanism. We tested this for a couple of days before we left and it worked great. When we got back from out trip, our fish were fine and the feeder was still working perfectly.I would highly recommend this for anyone needing an automatic feeder, especially for the price. We were not able to use it with the stand provided for the one tank because of the lid, but we improvised with duct tape.

I can go on a trip
This device helped feed my darling fish while I was gone on a trip. It feeds twice daily and is activated once you put batteries in. You have to position it correctly if it's sitting over the opening of the top of your tank. Now I can take a trip without too much worry!
