New Italian Wool Air Force Blanket Throw

First off I am more a consumer of reviews than writer, with that said this blanket exceeded every expectation I have for a high quality blanket, let alone a surplus blanket. Being 100% wool and heavy I had intended it as an emergency car blanket with a bit of flair, however, I love this blanket and chances are it will never leave the house. It is soft, warm, not scratchy at all, beautiful deep color, too cool for school logo. It went from box to favorite nap/couch blanket in 6 seconds flat. As its surplus I also expected a moth ball smell and this blanket smells like wool, thats it. I plan on buying one for my car and another for my brother who is a fly boy.Beyond the scope of the blanket, SevenBrothers is a great merchant. There was a discrepancy in shipping where I had to pay a couple of bucks to the mail lady on delivery. With one email to SevenBrothers through Amazon and the amount was credited to my account no fuss no muss!

after reading the reviews about this blanket I had to buy one. I am glad I did it is so soft and thick heavy blanket and the colors are very vibrant and this is a well made and sure to last with proper care and keep you warm in the coldest weather for a long time, i may buy another soon.

The Italian Air force Wool Blankets are a real jewel! These are definitely the softest 100% wool military surplus blankets I have seen. Very warm and SUPER soft. Softer than the Dutch Navy wool blankets, these almost remind me of a baby blanket. These may not be as "bullet proof" as the weave on the Italian Army wool blankets, but they are still made very well. Visually, they are a bright, blue color and the logo looks very cool. Whether for camping or just napping on the couch, this one is hard to beat! If you are pretty tall, you might lean towards a Dutch blanket only because they are longer, but I'm over 6ft tall and no issues with the length.

I won't be getting a chance to test this one out until winter, but from the looks of it, it's probably well worth the money. It feels a lot like the Dutch Navy Wool blanket I bought a few months ago, so here's hoping it's just as warm (that blanket has no equal -- at least not yet). Based on the pictures I've seen, I didn't expect it to be as thick as it is, and the colorway pops very nicely. Very much looking forward to crawling underneath this one.

Bought mine from White Mountain Mercantile and the quality blew me away. They shipped it lightning fast, customer service was excellent and the blanket was better then expected. They even deep cleaned it for free so when it arrived it smelled like it was super fresh without charge. These are nothing like the Italian army blankets. These are designed for officers so are so much softer.
