Ziggy Stardust jammin Good!
One of the All Time classic LPS David Bowie created a thematic character in Ziggy Stardust. The vibe and energy on It aint Easy follows to the reflection of rock and roll suicide plus some of the tracks that received more airplay in the day.

40 anniversary remastered classic album
One of David Bowie's best piece of work ever a masterpiece from start to finish I gave it four stars the reason being it does not come in the jewel case it comes in cardboard, contains the lyrics that you need a microscope not glasses but a microscope to read the lyrics. The printing is so small it's smaller than an ant I don't understand how they could let it go through like that so unless you know the lyrics to the songs already it's useless as far as I'm concerned but the music inside excellent you must on this classic. David Bowie Best persona and best bands ever had featuring the late Mick Ronson on guitar and vocals.

The vinyl had a little more high end and more precise imaging on one guitar phrase but didn't sound any better or worse
I purchased this edition, released June 2012, because reviewers said the audio quality was more faithful to the original than other editions on the market. I just did a fast compare of track 9 to an vinyl copy purchased a couple decades ago (no date on the vinyl other than the original 1972 copyright, Victor pressing AYL1-3843, with an Ortofon LM15 cartridge (matched?) to a Onkyo 9050). The vinyl had a little more high end and more precise imaging on one guitar phrase but didn't sound any better or worse. I played the CD 3 times in a row during my commute which is to say that I enjoyed it a lot.

Got this for the cover art. Hanging in a frame. Excellent.
YES! It's a great album, but I'm never listening to this LP. (I have the tunes in other formats.) I got it to put in my album cover frame. The wife was broken up about Bowie's death, so I got this to display in his honor--and to make her happy. It worked. Looks great. Not as fun for me to look at as the cover of The Guitars That Destroyed the World, but I still like it.

Bought for husband. He loves it
My husband asked for this album. It took a long time to get here from New Zealand, but, he tells me it was worth the wait.

Newer maybe not better??
Just got it and despite all the good reviews I was under impressed. From what others said I thought this would be light years ahead of the 1999 Abby Road re-mastered version. Whilst it does have more resolution and detail I found it overall fatiguing and a bit harsh or pushed. Also Mr. Bowie's vocals seemed placed a bit more left and right , making the speakers more apparent as compared to the more center "standing there in front of you " sound of the 1999 version. I may be the only one on the planet who thinks this but so be it.All systems are different and maybe on your HiFI it will sound fantastic but for me I prefer the slightly warmer less clinical yet more forward sound of the 1999 version.
