Not worth the price
While this one is very cute and started out easy to make I soon ran into issues. The cut outs for the walls were to small so wood showed through. Directions on assembly were unclear and sometimes wrong. Assembly itself was hard because walls didnt want to fit together right. Took a lot of elbow grease to fit together. Windows were way to big to put in the walls so I had to glue them to the outside. Also, if you're going to have a wall that opens please make sure the wood is thick enough to put the screws in without cracking!! All in all while it turned out very cute theres room for improvement.

Precision cut windows are precisely 1mm too large for precision cut openings
Will I buy another Spilay kit? No. Because for this price I can buy a higher quality kit that will give me what I want when I build these kits: immediate gratification of lots of tiny pieces all fitting together perfectly. On the plus side it’s a fun design and it has kit-bash potential, and the instructions are sort of in English.Compared to other kits in this price range that I’ve bought, there was no tool kit (tiny screwdriver please!) and there was no full size layout sheet to identify all wooden pieces, and the instruction booklet was low quality. Windows definitely didn’t fit, the unprimed particle-board tower pieces warped with glue moisture, and it’s 1:30 scale, not 1:24. It will fit figures 2.5” and smaller. As someone else mentioned, the windows (in my particular kit) were all slightly too big to be pressed into the openings. I tried sanding the openings, then tried sanding the actual window cutouts, then finally figured out that gradually paring away the window openings with a craft knife worked fastest for getting a good fit. I gotta say it took a lot of the precision cut fun out of making the kit, but I really wanted a castle. So, thank you Spilay for the castle I now have. Not quite the relaxing 3 evening project I thought I’d spent 40 bucks on, but now I know.

Turned this into a wizard's castle
Nice basic doll house. Good instructions with color photos so you can easily identify the parts. Nothing was missing. It is more an intermediate kit not really a beginner. I did a lot of modification to the kit and it turned out quite nice as a wizard's castle with a library and potions room.

It is not 1/24th scale but closer to 1/30th.
I bought this kit because I want to start doll house / miniature builds and figured it would be a good start. I was right! This is a challenging project but in a good way. English is not their first language but if you take your time, it's not bad. Make sure you have your ruler handy when looking for the parts you need. Everything is pre-cut and bagged but some items share a bag. Refer to the inventory sheets and measure twice. It took me about three weekends to put together. If you are more dedicated, it can be done in one.Over all, I really enjoyed this puzzle. I would make it again. I have bought a second house to build because it was so much fun the first time. It is not a true 1/24th scale but closer to 1/30th. Floor to ceiling measurements on the ground floor should be between 4 to 5 inches but this one is only 3.5 so just a little short but does not really matter as it comes with everything. I may modify the second one and not use the lights as they were a pain.

Frustrated builder 😐
The kit came missing pieces, the instruction book really sux! The materials are packaged in bags that make them hard to find. The hinges in the kit don't fit. They leave a gap. All the windows have to be sanded down to fit, and are so thin they break. I do many of these type of kits and this one has been the most frustrating of them all. Really think the company should rethink the instruction book.

Instructions not clear
The instructions are not clear. The plexiglass sizes are inaccurate, there are so many tiny pieces. states it should take 1-2 days to assemble, definitely takes long than that.

Really tiny and some of the pieces need to be trimmed to fit properly
I bought the kit with the intention to do it per instructions. I've never been good at following instructions and I'm much bigger fan of spooky than pretty. So I altered it to fit my own taste but the kit itself was pretty decent and detailed even though a few of the pieces didn't quite fit right. The windows were just ever so too big to fit and I had to file them down.

Fun kit, but annoying instructions
Everything is in Mandarin Chinese. Luckily I was able to use the translate feature on my phone to read some of the instructions where the pic description was not obvious. There is quite a bit of sanding to be done for the windows, but you'll get that from most kits. For the hinges I used a clamp and glue to prevent the wood from splitting when I drilled the pilot holes and screws. I recommend Tacky glue or alcohol-based glue for this build.
