The Wooly Lady uses the finest quality bleached white wool, woven in US mills, to achieve the vivid saturation of color. It has been boiled, rinsed and dryed so it is shrunk. They dye one yard at a time, felting the fabric in the process. As a result, the colors are complex, saturated and full of movement and light sources. Woolylady wool is dyed using multiple "dips" in overlapping formulas to obtain the velvet or sueded appearance for which it is known.
