I just bought my first house and my boyfriend and I combined all of our belongings. I'm frugal by nature, so I wasnt going to throw away perfectly good knives, even though they weren't the most aesthetic.I do enjoy things looking pretty, so I spent a decent chunk of time finding a universal knife block that would work.This one is a solid A.I'm able to fit a cleaver, 2 santokus, serrated, chefs, utility, and some bone/pairing knifes. The bottom section fits 8 steak knifes perfect. The blade sharpener slides right in.Cons: Be mindful when moving. The blade sharpener hole goes all the way through the bottom. If you aren't mindful when moving the knife block, this can scratch up your counters. I wish they had closed off the hole.There isn't a designated scissor section. I may look into a magnetic strip to put behind the block for the scissors. They technically "fit" but it's poor, the hole isn't quite wide enough for the plastic.Overall I'm really pleased and would reccommend. Great price. Thanks!-sara

We were running out of space on our old block, and I was happy to find one that has about the same footprint but with many more holes for knives. It looks nice and well-made and holds many knives and tools.

This knife holder is nice and sturdy. It has several slots that make selecting a knife while cooking very easy. One thing I would like to see changed is there is a large logo on the front. It would be nice if that wasn't there-just a personal preference. Very happy with this purchase.

We have a knife set that came with a block, but we've purchased a couple of extra knives over the years and had no slots open in the original block. Found this and it was priced low enough to try, and it has enough extra slots for our current knives plus a few more if we pick up others.Block arrived packaged well and had a couple of scrapes on it but we're not fancy so it's fine for us. Overall looks great, and the angle of this block is great for countertop storage and access to knives.

I'd recently bought us some new Shun knives, and it seemed time for a knife block upgrade. Our old one was one of those without slots (it has plastic filaments that let you place any number of knives), and it had gotten twisted internally over the years, so it needed to go.With the new knives, I wanted something that would fit a variety of sizes and that was solid enough to hold up to the occasional grazes from extremely sharp blades, as we tend to get very high quality knives that hold quite an edge. This block turned out to be a great choice. It's made of acacia, a very hard wood, and my concerns over its durability seem misplaced. It's holding up very well after a couple of months of use. Will it look pristine years from now? Time will tell, but I'd bet yes, as it still looks like new and gets a lot of use.It has slots for a variety of knives, a pair of scissors, a sharpening rod, and eight steak knives. With a price just under $30, it's a great buy!

This is the first knife block that I have ever bought and I don't know why I waited so long. It is very sturdy and allows you to store a variety of kitchen knives and scissors. Very easy access and it looks great on the counter.

Sturdy, looks great, and fits every knife I have. A good variety of slot widths and one slot you could use for a honing steel, instead of a knife. Altogether a great purchase.
