Excellent flavor
Probably the best coffee we've ever found for making cappuccino! It's hands-down the most flavorful and works like a dream in our espresso machine.

Fresh and good tasting.
I grew up drinking coffe made in an Italian expresso coffe pot which by my standards is one of the best ways to have coffee. It is an experience that you must try and it is the best way to savore the richness of an expresso. Now that I've said that, let's talk about this coffee. I first want to mention that this is an espresso wich means that it is stronger than your regular coffee. This coffee is best suited for small expresso cups. You can use this in your regular coffee maker but, you need to add less of this coffee than you would your regular coffee. I would try using half the amount of this expresso compared to what you normally use for making regular coffee. If you use 6 tablespoons or 3 cups of regular coffee then cut that amount in half for this expresso. The reason for this is due to the strength of this coffee and most expresso coffe. Expresso coffee usually has 63 milligrams of caffeine in one ounce compared to regular coffee that usually has 16 milligrams in one ounce. I say usually because it all depends on what part of the world the coffe beans come from. These numbers could be less or more. This is why I recommend that you use half the amount and if that is to strong then use less. Making a great cup of coffee is trial and error. I wouldn't pass on this opportunity to try this coffee. It has a smooth finish with a lasting flavor. Trial and error will get you to the coffe you'll appreciate. Enjoy and be safe.

Smooth Coffee
I ordered this Espresso ground coffee and use it in a French Press. It comes out with a wonderful smooth taste and is not too acidic. I like strong, dark coffees. This is perfect for me. I ordered four more cans and I am thinking today that I will add a subscription for regular delivery. The price is great too. I am from Australia and we have lots of good coffee there as we have many immigrants from Italy who brought their wonderful coffee with them. You can get a great coffee/espresso/latte/cappuccino at any cafe on any corner in Australia. When I first came to the U.S. I found that Americans did not have great coffee generally speaking. In the last 10 years or so Americans have matured have come to realize that there is another world out there with more flavorful coffee. Not meant as a criticism, just an observation. In any case, I am very happy to have found this wonderful Espresso. In a few months I think I will invest in a true Espresso machine. Why not enjoy the little things like this great Espresso! Cheers to all!

An Italian from Miami.
It does not matter if it has never been near Italy. It is made by the same people that make Cafe Pilon in Miami, Rowland Roasters. Its still pretty good, grind is consistent and taste is not very bitter.Do a cupping and you will note that it has a slight tinge of bitterness but (to my taste) its not bad.Taste, which should be the main factor, is very good, aromatic and flavorful. And of course, it is vastly less expensive than the other coffees that have made the trip to Italy.

Worthy of its name
I’ve been looking for a truly Italian coffee and have been disappointed by standard (med roast) Illy and Lavazza (including Perfetto) because they weren’t bold or flavorful enough.Medaglia D’Oro (“Gold Medal”) is worthy of it’s name, as the coffee is delicious; bold yet surprisingly smooth. If you like Cafe Bustelo, you should really enjoy MD’O, as it reminds me of Cafe Bustelo tho seems smoother.Worth noting: after verifying what was reflected on the actual Medaglia D’Oro’s website; I ordered from a company where the picture portrayed on the can had gold-colored medals vs the Medaglia D’Oro cans with yellow-colored “gold medals.” My concern is that the product displaying yellow-colored gold medals might not be legit but instead a fraudulent product. For those like me who need to have a coffee drinker’s point of reference for a review to be truly helpful; I enjoy bold, dark coffees and usually drink Cafe Bustelo and Starbucks’ Italian Roast (all-time favorite) and French Roast; as well as Seattle’s Best 6th Ave Bistro (darker) and Post Alley (darkest). [Learned recently that Seattle’s Best is part of Starbucks]. I’m also in the company of those who miss Starbuck’ Gold Coast and pretty much loath Starbucks’ usual brew of the day, Pike Place. Hope this helps. :)

Delicioso
the 'legend' lives on... try a can of Medaglia D'oro Italian Roast & you'll be hard-pressed to be disappointed. aroma is fabulous, taste is (subjectively speaking) not bitter but very robust/ earthy & puts a little pep in your morning step! we luv the stuff & would rank it a VERY close second to "illy INTENSO" brand (although Medaglia... is less expensive). little wonder this stuff was in practically EVERY Italian kitchen/ household that i can recall as a youngster... it's just plain delicioso & a heckuva' good value for the $$$$. try a can... cheers!

Bought By Mistake...I Thought it Was Instant Espresso Powder
I don't know why this product pops up when you search for "Instant Espresso Powder", it is definitely not instant.I needed ingredients for a Tiramisu, and during a search for instant coffee powder, this product came up. It was a good price, and I know this brand is a quality product, but I don't often buy instant coffee and I wouldn't have gotten this if I had known it wasn't.I know I can just brew some up to use in my recipe, but that isn't the point.Amazon needs to remove this from the "Espresso Powder" search. If I recall I actually did a search for Instant Espresso Powder for Tiramisu".It's my bad for not reading the description more carefully. But still.....I warn others to be careful when trying to search instant espresso. This is not the same thing.
