Best gate we’ve ever had. Over the years my husband and I have bought various gate for kids and dogs. We’ve never been much impressed with many also. My husband popped this one on and viola, it was done. We took the cat door off as the location it’s in we don’t know when the cats want through. For four days all was great...the cat food usage went waaaay down and all was well. Then our six month old Lab was so excited to see my granddaughter and I come in the door, she sqoze her full fifty pound frame thru the cat door. My hubby then took zip ties and attached the small door part way down the hole (see pic), problem solved. I am now saving a small fortune on cat food. The purchase did not disappoint.

We bought two of these because our dog loves to get in the cat food. Super easy to install. Very well made. Got them because the wooden ones appearance wise didn't look good. We decided just to tighten it against the door frame using just the cups but not screwed in or the double sided tape. So far holding great.Opening the gate takes a little getting used to. You have to squeeze in on a latch both at the top of the gate and underneath and lift the gate about an inch or so for it to open. We removed the small gate so our cats can go in and out as they please but the opening is way to small for our 65 pound dog to get through

Excellent. We have had a white one for our kitchen for years and I got this for our outside porch. I was at my wits end with the cheap plastic one, and my son knocked it over and bolted to the street so..... even though it's not listed for outdoor use, I had no choice. We're in a rental and they wont let us do anything permanent. So far it's the sturdiest gate I've ever seen. My 2 kids hang off it, bang it, pull it, try to climb it, and it doesnt even shake like our kitchen one. The bolts are bigger and dont budge. The tension is so strong it's not going anywhere. I'll have to deal with it if it rusts, but it will be worth it. Hasn't so far. Very modern look. Only one complaint is it's easier to open than the kitchen one. This one you dont have to push the button. Just lift the door a bit and it will go either forward or back, which I love, and also firmly but not obnoxiously closes behind you by itself. I really love it.

Our house is multilevel so we needed a gate in the upstairs hallway to make sure our toddler doesn't take a tumble down the stairs and we also needed a baby gate that had a pass through door for our old cat who isn't able to jump over the gates like our younger one. We had previously bought a gate from Petsmart for the same price but it is flimsy compared to this gate. The pet door swings on its own and the walk through opening is narrow so constantly catching clothing on the gate. My husband installed this gate quickly (probably would have been faster but he had his lil' helper "helping"). Gate opens both ways, closes automatically but can be left fully open if needed. Pet door does not swing open or close on its own. We ordered the black gate so it matches the rest of the house decor nicely. After installing and walking through the gate a few times, my husband went "You need to order another one of these to replace that other gate." Referring to the previously mentioned one from pet smart that's on a different set of stairs.

So far we like this gate. Naturally ourWalls are wider than most gates are, so we got lucky finding this one. The auto-close feature is really nice.To install it , we placed 2x4’s temporarily under it to keep it level and above the baseboards. Then popped them out once it was up. Everything was easy!Only thing is our one year old can easily crawl through the cat door, so we will be making some adjustments to cater to them both.

We got this gate to keep our new puppy out of one side of our house. I got this to replace a traditional baby gate that you have to take down every time you go through it. Since I frequently go into that side of the house I wanted an easy one handed way of access. The only thing you have to get used to is when the gate is open for you to walk through there is a bar on the floor that you have to step over. This takes some getting used to. All in all, a good purchase for the money and made me very happy

Cannot express how awesome this gate is! Super study, I Used some other wall mounts for it to protect the wall for just a pressure install. Swings both ways, with the spring hinge that closes it, but also if you open it far enough it holds open, great gate! Cannot say enough good things. The doggy door is a plus!
