If you grew up eating cane syrup by sopping it with homemade biscuits for dessert, you know that all other syrups don't compare. (Maybe a good a maple syrup but that's apples and oranges.) This is 100% cane syrup (not molasses which is different and I do not care for). I use cane syrup on pan cakes and waffles as well as a substitute for jelly on toasted p-butter sandwiches (so much syrup that I place it on a plate and eat with a fork; yummmm!) The large container of Steen's is a good value, and no need to refrigerate. I pour the 46 oz Steen's into an empty 50 oz plastic Heinz bottle which serves as a perfect dispenser. Enjoy a Southern treat; and if you don't like send it to me. I will take all I can get.

I have ordered this product for years now since moving out of the region that sells Steen's Pure Cane Syrup. I have never had ANY food have an odd taste as in one of the reviews of this product. In fact, this is so much better on pancakes, ho-cakes, griddle cakes, French toast, snacks that you want to sweeten with a little something special. The reason this taste better is it's PURE cane syrup and not some PROCESSED syrup with tons of sugar added for flavor. Try it once just to get a taste of this and you'll be buying it again and again!

I remember my Mom using this syrup when I was growing up. I was so excited to find it on Amazon. The flavor is exactly what I remember! This is the best syrup in the world to make homemade popcorn balls and to use on homemade biscuits with butter.

I've been looking for really good, pure can syrup for a while now, and I'm so happy to have found this Steen's brand. As a child I remember my grandpa getting cane syrup in a can. I was delighted to have found this, and even more so when I opened it and poured the yumminess of it over some freshly baked butter biscuits. If you grew up southern, get yourself some Steen's Cane Syrup. It'll take you back home.

Updated 4/28/20: opened the syrup finally & I have to say, I’m disappointed the strong aftertaste that many people describe in the reviews is metal ~ it comes in a large tin can. I never eat anything out of tin cans because of my thyroid diet, just be aware that this is the case because you can’t see the can in the photos, had I known this was the case, I would’ve avoided it. However~ the customer service is out of this world! They sent me the wrong item at first, all I had to do was call & Jason fixed it , literally, right away!
