Very effective to smooth down sharp glass without requiring great strength. Very impressed.

Is it a diamond file? Yes. Does it remove material from ceramic tile reasonably efficiently? Yes.Is it a tool you will enjoy handling and keep for years? Absolutely not.The ‘handle’ that came with this file is the most laughable thing I’ve purchased in a while. Yeah, this thing will help smooth out the edges of the tiles in my bathroom project but overall this thing is a joke. You get what you pay for.

Purchased to repair chipped crystal goblet. Worked perfectly. The rounded surface allowed easy grinding of the chipped area.

I have a crystal bowl that was a wedding gift and it had a chip out of the edge. I used this tool and it smoothed it out so well we will be able to keep and reuse. The chip is still there, but not a big deal because it's relatively small and is no longer sharp.

Overall good purchase but handle loosens with use

I chipped the base of a beer glass I like, creating a very sharp edge. I ordered this file to see if I could salvage the glass, and it worked extremely well. A few minutes of gentle filing, and the glass is no longer a danger to fingers.

I was using this file to enlarge the holes for a widespread faucet on a cultured marble vanity top. I only needed about 1/16” more clearance and this tool not only took forever to file down because it instantly dulled, but the metal file immediately disconnected from the red handle. So for the rest of the job, I had to stop every 20 seconds to try to jam the file back into the handle. Very janky. Don’t waste your money

I used it to bevel the edges on granite tile. I worked perfectly and provided a smooth edge. I highly recommend it.
