Good value
I used it on a 6v kids ride on car to make the throttle engage smoother. Worked great. Not even using all of this units full capabilities.

Must Have for Upgraded Power Wheels!
The slow stop and slow start features of this device are perfect for my kids' 18v and 24v Power Wheels! Usually, the problem with high voltage is that the instantaneous power wreaks havoc on the plastic gearboxes and is rough on motors too. A 1-2 second ramp of power from 0% - 100% is the perfect solution, results in a less jittery experience, and is better on the tires too. This was VERY easy to install, just cut and then strip the ends of the red and black wires AFTER the pedal and before the split to the motors. It works fine out of the box to do exactly what I wanted, but if you want to adjust it you have to hold the pedal down while you set it up (or apply another source of power before installing, get the settings right, and then install it). If you want to limit max power you could do that too, but we are honestly thinking about going to 36v now that we can smoothly apply the power.

about the terminal strip...
I'm not a ROCKET SCIENTIST but I am well-versed in engineering and manufacturing practices;First of all, it is not bad for the price, and IF it holds up to the current described in the text, then it would be a steal at twice the price but here's the rub; the size and composition of the terminal screws; I don't see it happening, not without significant heat at the tie points and internally; another item for debate , the terminal strip should be facing the back so that wiring can take place more efficiently with less guess-work... the step-mode for rpm preset is a nice feature... just-sayin

Power wheels jeep 18v
Worked on an off-brand jeep I upgraded to 18v. The acceleration was too much so this helped slow the start. To get slow stop, you need to add in a relay. I just let the tires skid to a stop.Follow this wiring diagram exactly and you’ll have reverse. When doing it the way it says, reverse blows the fuse. Also, programming is off by one. So on the instructions, slow start timing is number 1. Once I figured that out, programming is very easy. While you’re holding the pedal, change the arrow up and down and hit run/stop until back on that screen. (It’ll turn off then hit it again and it’ll run again.) That saves the setting.

Still works 6 months later

Not durable
Used very little, lasted 6 months then failed.

Decent little device, could be real solid if it had some fixes.
This little unit is pretty good for what its worth. The options are pretty decent and seem to work. Its current rating has held up so far. The best part is the ability for it to soft start a load. I only wish you didnt have to press the run/stop button on the unit to activate the soft start each time, but instead could just leave it on and use a switch mounted elswhere. That wouldve been perfect and bumped the stars up. Another con is its not a no brainer to mount. There are no surface mounting tabs, so the unit is made with the assumption that u will only be placing it recessed, as thats the only option to mount it. I ended using double sided tape for mine. Last con, the terminals are just so small.

Excellent little speed controller
This thing works very well for what I need it for. I have a few 12 volt SLA batteries that I run this off of to my ball mill and I like that I can turn it off and on with the button. You can see the speed of the motor change while clicking the up button. Overall a very good buy for the price.
