I'm using this to activate a motor by the bird-feeder that spins a soda straw whenever a flock of unwanted birds tries to take it over. Using a 12V 8A gel cell battery which is holding up just fine. Everything's protected from the weather but I do worry about humidity taking a toll. Anyway, the RC switch is great!

I was pessimistic about the range for remote control. However, my usage was to operate a 12V apparatus in a garage remotely from another property about 500' away. There are three outside 8' high block wall in between plus the apparatus was behind a steel garage door. It never missed a beat. Faithfully "on" or "off". Both remotes that came with the unit work identical. One thing to note is that the relay is small in size. The polarity of the input and output is noted on the relay, but the markings are very small and hard to see plus right above them every terminal location has a little phillips screw design imprinted that is easily mistaken for a "+" indicator. Double check your hookup before energizing if polarity is important. As a note, I checked it using 24volts also and it worked well, but it was a test at short range...just wanted to see if it would work on 24 volts and it did. Voltage source was two small 12V lead acid batteries, either in series (24V) or parallel (12V).

To get 6 stars, you need to have a plus factor. 5 stars is a good rating. No problem with the order or the product. Product is as described.Fairly easy to splice in an extension cord and get a wireless system. Screw posts could be a little bigger. I’m using it to control a shop vacuum for wood work. I like the 2 remotes; 3 would have been better! So far no issues in its operation. My usage range is only about 12 feet maximum. The previous single switch system did have a dead spot that this one doesn’t seem to have.

Installed this on a whole house amplifier down in the basement. The amplifier had an auto On/off feature that did not work very well. Installed this and can turn the amp on or off from anywhere on the property. Has a great range. Just remember to get 2 # 23 12volt batteries as it does not come with one for the remotes.

Worked fine after initial install but within a week unit wouldn’t come on, tried to reset per instructions and when you hit the on button it would come on and then right back off. I had ordered another after I got the first one but now afraid they aren’t very reliable

It works well to turn on. However you must be very close to the unit to turn it off. I am disappointed in that fact. I now have to walk up to my device 200 feet away to turn it off. I am controlling a Siren to control the neighbors late night parties and loud outdoor live band music. I have not had to use it yet (only because it is not yet the weekend). Now if I decide to turn it off once I have determined I need to join in with the noise, I will have to expose myself to the crowd to get close enough to TURN IT OFF. I guess it goes with out saying, Once it is ON, IT'S ON!!!!

I installed this relay switch inline on the power wires for my son’s 24V electric power wheels. It could not have been more simple! The power wheels model already had a manual disable switch to prevent battery drain when parked, so I just installed this relay after that manual off switch. Installing it like this prevents the relay from draining the battery when not in use.I like that the relay is a latching style, meaning it stays in the last state when it loses and regains power. This means it will stay off if you use it to disable the car, even if your kiddo tries to toggle it by power cycling.Performance has been excellent. Relay is nearly instantaneous, which makes it perfect for a parental safety override to prevent your little one from driving into a dangerous situation. Just press the off button and the car loses power and stops immediately.

Made a softwash system, works perfectly.Can switch from chemical to water in the click of a button from 50ft away with ease. Saved me tons of $.

Bought to install on electric Golf Buggy. After having blown a lower ampage controller, installed this device straight out of the box & it just started to work. Haven't checked the range of the remotes, but expect they will be more than good enough for this purpose without needing to extend the aerial.
