Seashells of New England: A Beachcomber's Guide

Would have preferred photographs of the shells but that's more costly to print. Bought the book for myself to learn more about the shells I find on the beach

I expected photos of shells as in the Florida Beachcomber's Guide, but this book has only illustrations. The descriptions of the shells are terrific, though, especially for a layperson to understand.

great reference book with information about all the shells I've collected in Maine

For the price, this can't be beat! Illustrations are beautiful.
