Price change after first purchase
I just bought my first 45 oz bag of the TBonz and my dogs like them. I paid $10.75 for the bag and that included free two day shipping with Amazon Prime. I suspected it was an initial low price to lure in customers. Once I realized my dogs liked them I went back to Amazon.com the next day hoping to buy a couple more bags at the low price. The price had gone up to over $20 and today it's just under $19. If you're a first time buyer and the price is around $10 you may want to buy several bags at the low price because I suspect you won't see it that low again. I'm not criticizing Purina as it's a good marketing ploy. But you can use it to your advantage by buying more the first time you purchase. I wish I had bought five bags at that price. If this review remains up for awhile they may drop the initial discount. Until then, it's a great deal. Unfortunately, my chihuahua has thrown up several times today and the content is made up of TBonz fragments.I suspect this is because my granddaughter gave him a treat after I had already given him one. My golden-doodle is having no problems digesting them. I've found it a good idea to limit the number of packaged snacks I give a dog in a day. I would have given it five stars but with the sick chihuahua I thought a four star more fitting.

Little bits of dog crack
My dog lives for these things, but I have to qualify this by saying that he thinks EVERYTHING is a treat, right down to steroid meds we had to give him for his skin. Those tablets couldn't have possibly tasted good. He also likes ice cubes, live squirrels, and my husband's dirty socks and underwear. So we're not exactly talking about a connoisseur or aficionado here. He does know what that bag is every time it comes in the house and there's no living with him until I open it up and give him a couple from the new bag. I put it in the trash when it's empty, but Jericho just digs out the empty package and makes sweet love to it until the next one gets here. It's kind of pricey, but they last or a couple of months, even for a large dog like my German shepherd, so I guess it all works out in the end.

My dogs love these
Needless to say that I have 2 dogs that love, love treats. They have their favorites though & these are in the top 2.I am happy about being able to order these from Amazon and save some money compared to prices in stores where I live, plus this bag is larger than I can find locally. My 10 year old GSD likes the softer treats, because they are easier to chew. And my 5 month old Red Healer loves these because her little puppy teeth are so small she eats slow.I use these as training treats, also as a treat after bath time. Makes getting in the bath tub with a 50 lb GSD easier than pushing her from behind into the bathroom for bath. It's just the water she doesn't like, soon as bath is over she's a very happy girl again. :)Both my girls love these treats with a passion & I am very happy to keep these on hand for them.

Not Quite My Dogs' Favorite. But Good
My two pooches are very small dogs - one is 5 pounds, and the other is 7.5.I think they'd both enjoy Tbonz more if the pieces were a little smaller. They get very excited when they see me holding the bag, but falling on these and devouring them is another matter. They *want* to want them but actually eating T-Bonz is a little difficult for their tiny mouths. Beggin' Strips, Bacon Flavor Dog Snacks , on the other hand--wow. They LOVE those things!I keep a bag of Tbonz on hand for a little variety, but they really prefer their Beggin' Strips.PS: These treats have a strong, almost unpleasant odor, and I think some of it might be a preservative. But then, so do Beggin' Strips.

Our Dog's Favorite Treat
We have been users of this product through 2 lines of house pets. With this our most current dog, we found from a t.v. personality, that if one treat is given to your pet after he releaves himself in the yard, and is curious about tasting his droppings, the routine is established. From almost that point on, the pet releaves, and then comes to you for his treat - the urge to taste has been replaced with a special treat from you! We also, occasionally, cut one up into very small slivers or pieces and mix lightly into his dry food. It is an instant starter for diving into his meal...and usually non-stop to the bottom of the bowl! Our pet NEVER refuses or gives it a second thought when he is offered these treats.
