Spring loaded pull / shower valve
This works for what we need (an auto off for an outdoor shower). Liked: good, heavy duty construction. Didn't like: the chain that comes with it.We had another of these before and it ended up getting concrete splatted all over it during construction, so we replaced with the same model. Some issues we had were: it was used outdoors and after a while needed some lubrication: it would get stuck in the on position (actually a benefit, so we didn't have to hold the chain the whole time, but then you have to push it back with a stick. We didn't fix it (by lubricating it) because we liked it "broken". Also the chain broke pretty quickly, and the ring didn't last much longer. The hole on the "handle" that the ring went through was pretty small and wouldn't accept a couple of things I tried to replace it with. Ended up replacing with a wire type keychain like this: https://www.amazon.com/MantaRings-Cable-Strong-Flexible-Waterproof/dp/B00B1GP94E (probably not the best price but gives you an idea) and stainless steel chain from the hardware store, and we attached that to the new valve when it came. Works like new ('cause it is.)

Dock Shower
My wife wanted a fresh water shower for a lakeside dock. I saw a pull-chain valve at our neighborhood pool and searched for this item.It was pretty easy to install. I didn’t not use iron pipe. I used schedule 40 PVC 1/2” male MPT x S adapter to install. Put a few wraps of teflon around the PVC male, cinched it down and it works well.It does take a little force to pull and open, so I used galvanized pipe hanger straps around the pipe nearest the valve and haven’t had any problems.Been using it for two weeks and wife and kids love it, but I think I love it best. Nothing like a fresh cold shower at the lake in the summer.

Handy Retrofit for Utility Showers
Installed this in a staff shower—works great and shuts off automatically after a minute, which keeps water usage in check. Threads were clean, no leaks. Docking a star because it doesn’t come with thread tape and you will need it. Otherwise, solid value.

Solid Valve
This is a solid brass valve with chrome finish. For an pool “pre-shower” or other purpose when a short shower is required and someone may not shut a valve themselves, this is ideal.

Just what I needed for outdoor shower.
I purchased this to use in an outdoor shower for after swimming. Works great and has a positive seal. It works well in vertical or horizontal position. Very heavy brass construction, seems very well made. Has a smooth operation and does not require a real heavy hand to operate, my 3 year old can do it with no problem. The chain is a little short, but I purchased a "good vibrations 110 start me up full grip lawn mower replacement handle" to use with the valve and I say it was a good solution for $5.

Works Well/Solid Construction
I bought this based on other reviews and this is a solidly built water saving valve. Easy to install and works like a charm. My only complaint would be that most shower heads come out of the wall at an angle and this puts the valve handle pull at a lower angle than you would want. Still works well but I wish it was adjustable.

Perfect for outdoor showers.
I installed these for a client who had an outdoor shower. Easy to install, works great. A side note for installers: If there is any leaking water after you install simply remove the decorative threaded cap on the side and tighten the nut down slightly and the leaking will stop.

Good urinal valve for home use
Works well as a home urinal valve. No need for 3/4" supply pipe. Not sure it would be adequately supported for commercial use.Get a threaded reducer adapter for the urinal spud to bring it down to 1/2", and a 1/2" short nipple, plus a flexible supply line. I used this adapter: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00835W80E/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Order is important, first attach fittings to valve, then to spud's threaded tube, then carefully and dexterously tighten nut on spud which squishes rubber gasket into opening on top of urinal. Although there probably is a better way to do this, I didn't find any instructions for installing spuds.
