Good cart
This cart is definitely heavy duty, and should stand up to just about anything you would ask of it. The steel portions of the cart and the castor wheels are both heavy dutyMy wife also wanted a utility cart for the basement as well as the garage, and she purchased a second utility cart locally, after I had ordered this one. The other utility cart was a different brand name, but was very similar in design and assembly. The markings on the shelves were the same on both carts, and other than size, the plastic locking shelf supports were identical. Don't let the fact that the shelf supports are made of plastic make you think that they could fail. The shelves have steel loops on each corner for the vertical supports (legs) to pass through. After the plastic shelf supports are snapped around the legs, they lock into a shallow groove on the outside of the legs. The shallow grooves are cut about every inch to inch and a half of the legs. The shelf's steel loop then slides down onto the plastic shelf support, both locking the support more securely and protecting it. The lower portion of the plastic shelf support is thicker, and prevents the shelf from sliding past it.The cart is a little shorter than the other brand cart, but the handle at its highest level comes to about 34 inches. That is about waist height for me (five foot ten inches), so if you are tall (six-foot or taller) it may require you to bend forward at the waist to reach the handle. My son, about 200 lbs, put this cart together with my assistance, and he stood on the shelves after they were put in place, even bouncing a bit. I wouldn't recommend the standing on the shelves for safety reasons, but he even bounced on the wire mesh portion of the shelf without causing it to bow. Tapping the shelves down onto the plastic supports with a rubber or wooden mallet will help them settle all the way down. The shelf liners are also heavy duty plastic, thicker than the plastic in a milk jug.Other than the possible problem with handle height for six foot tall or taller people, I did not have any concerns about this cart. The wheels work well on a firm smooth surface, but not on a dirt or grassy surface. This cart would not be suitable for gardening or yard work, but would work very well in a workshop, warehouse, garage, or similar environment.

Not so fast...
I have to say I am just at 'it's ok' and here is why:1. The directions: I do consider myself to be a pretty 'handy' person and able to figure things out like how to assemble something like this - should directions be so-so in terms of clarity. These directions were horrible. I assembled it once and figured the slip-sleeves are actually supposed to be flush with the pole with very little to none of the black slip-sleeve actually showing. They neglect to say that outright and instead say 'make sure shelves are firmly set...secure the shelf with your hand or a rubber mallet.' Let me tell you - using your hand is nearly impossible - especially with the first shelf as you are dealing with four wheels that are not stabilized until you actually get the shelf on. I went out and bought a mallet as I had no luck actually securing them by simply 'using my hands'. ALSO - my handle is still loose as that is hard to tap with the mallet because of how it sits on the cart once it is put on AND now that I have everything assembled a second time - I have one uneven wheel. Nothing terrible for what I will use it for but I was not about to take it apart and try it a third time. There is simply one picture with arrows and dashed lines trying to explain six different steps.2. No extras incase of breakage/fixes needed: the top shelf caps (covers) did not come packaged with what they call slip-sleeves and were simply enclosed within the shelf until everything was removed from packaging. After I removed everything from packaging - I discovered there were no extra caps and one of mine was cracked and broken. Really - I wasn't sure why they even had these as the plastic was not great quality and they don't fit very well on the top shelf anyway. At this point it doesn't matter as I only have three and you clearly need four. To boot - there was only one pair of extra slip sleeves. None of my slip-sleeves were cracked but if they were - I didn't have any extra padding to try and fix it.3. Attaching slip-sleeve covers: there directions are to 'attach slip-sleeve covers to each pole as shown (despite not explaining the top arrow imprinted on each one) and don't explain that you should listen for a click when they slide into place.I bought it because of the great reviews but overall- I was less than impressed and how would I return it now? It would be more trouble than it's worth and shipping back would cost a fortune because it was so heavy. The packaging also made a return less than optimal.Next time I would do more research and see if I could find something better.

Big enough to store your junk, pretty enough to live in the kitchen.
This thing is amazing. That may seem like a bold claim for a simple cart, but I was expecting much less than what I got for the price.Assembly was easy, and all you need is a mallet (or any random object you can pound with, but a mallet is ideal). The shelves can be installed at whatever heights you like, and the handle is similarly customizable. The wheels are large and solid, so pushing the cart on my uneven kitchen tile floor is no sweat at all. The plastic inserts are thin and flimsy, but they are effective and easy to clean. I was able to store a lot more on this cart than I thought I would, but I'll probably still buy a second. You can use this for anything you need a cart for, but in my case I have a bunch of kitchen appliances that aren't used enough to leave them on the counter, but are too big to take in and out of cabinets. This cart makes storing them a cinch.Pros:- Easy, mostly tool-less construction- Lots of room, and shelf height is up to you- Sturdy- Clean, no real visible defects, and the polish is consistent on the entire cart.- AffordableCons:- The instructions aren't great- The bumpers over the wheels are rather solid, rather than being a softer, more forgiving rubber- Does not come with someone to push it for you.
