Q: Will this fit a maglite ml300l model?

Hi. Sorry, my bulbs only fit Maglites that are incandescent. Mags that came with an LED in them from the factory have an LED that is not removable from the switch assembly.

Hi, Yes, you can run the 5k lumen bulb in a 3D maglite if you switch to a pair of 26650s for power. I have a body conversion kit I sell from my shop for a 2D maglite to do exactly that. Basically you put that conversion kit in plus one dummy D cell to take up the extra space in the body (put the dummy in first) then put the body sleeve and batteries in. I don't have the parts listed on Amazon yet, but your can see that at my shop "Adventure Sport Flashlights".

You would need to use one "dummy" D cell battery as a spacer and 3x NIMH Ds. Even though NIMH D cells are only 1.2v each they actually drive the LEDs harder than a set of 3x 1.5v alkalines because they carry the amp load so much better. Using 4x NIMH D cells would cause the bulb to be driven so hard (more amperage) the switch in your light would fail, and potentially the bulb as well.
