African Shea Butter 100% Pure Raw 8 Oz Gold/ Yellow Premium NON GMO

this is the second time I've bought this. I absolutely love it ! it's so good for your skin and its 100% shea butter, no chemicals. Gotta love that. and it works great at moisturizing dry skin. it doesn't have fragrance oil in it so it doesn't smell wonderful and it doesn't have imulsifiers and other stuff, so it's not easy to spread, but i just take a dab of shea, a squirt of sweet almond oil and acouple squirts of coacoa butter lotion mix in my hands to melt and smooth on. that way it smells nice and spreads good And i know what it is that I'm spreading all over me. this time however, the shea butter had a gritty, granular texture that i dont like. the first one i ordered did not have that grit so that's why 4 and not 5 stars. hope this helps someone in their decision. I will order again but if it's gritty, I'll find a new maker to order from.

Like all natural Shea Butter this needs a good rub before applying; has a slight nut-like scent that goes away within few minutes after application (then you can apply your favorite perfume, body spray, etc.) Note: I have been using Shea butter since 2013 and it’s amazing. Besides keeping my skin soft and supple (I always get compliments) Shea helped get rid of the shave bumps I had on my legs, underarms, bikini area and helps with overall dry skin. Also, I had a painful Sunburn a few summers ago and nothing was helping. I can’t recall why, but I decided to try Shea butter and (I kid you not!!) it healed my sunburn, took away the pain and I was surprised my skin didn’t peel!! I am also a massage therapist and my clients love when I used this for deep tissue massage.

I have purchased this exact shea butter and brand in brick and mortar stores for many years. What I got from Amazon was nothing like what I am used to getting. I work with shea butter so I know the material well. What I got was almost orange from a higher than normal turmeric content, and rock hard. Raw shea butter is never rock hard at room temp. This is rock hard- so much so, that I need to use a metal spoon to scoop parts of it- some is rock hard and some is mostly rock hard. It seems like perhaps another material was used, like commercial/refined cocoa butter because it matches that consistency, and does not have the telltale strong smell of raw shea butter. If so, that's fraud. Either way, I had to throw it away.

At first I thought the Shea would clog my pores and make the breakouts worse, boy was I surprised alone the Shea butter not only kept my face moisturized all day and I work in the OR wear I wear a mask all day, but no additional breakouts and it cleared up some of the darkened spots. The ease of using the Shea butter is amazing it does not leave you with shining face overtime your skin drinks in the Shea plus when I wash my face and do a steam facial it looks so clean and even tone over the few months I have used the Shea butter I feel more confident about my complexion I’m not trying to change my color of my skin because I love me I just love how so fresh I look Shea butter has a lovely scent definitely not overbearing and the product well over a year for the price is worth it.

I have searched far and wide for this African Shea butter but couldn’t find it or it cost too much for the amount given. I have eczema and overly sensitive skin and can’t use many lotions for the fact they don’t moisturize as they say and most of the time are watery. This product is not and I’m glad I found it, I will definitely be buying again.

the package was nice and full when it arrived. It is great if you want to blend it with other oils or lotions. the smell is to be expected. I would recommend that you let it dry completely before getting dressed or wrapping your hair up. it does tent things yellow if it isn't dry. overall it is a great product and a value buy. I would buy it again.

I've gotten a lot of shea butters and usually choose organic but, this brand was at a good price so, I went with it. Very happy with it as I have chronic dry, peeling hands from washing them so much. But, after using even one time I felt relief and my hands are healing. I personally use shea on my whole body, face, and hair and I'll definitely continue to purchase this brand. I was so happy with it that I wrote this review just after receiving earlier today and wanted to express my appreciation!
