Orleans broke the Top 40 with these two consecutive Asylum LPs! Their Top 10 smashes Dance with Me and Still the One plus 18 more!

The music on this CD continues to hold up well. It was nice to be able to purchase both of these early Orleans albums in one CD. The only disappointment was that it was advertised as coming with an autorip with the purchase but it only came with a autorip for waking and dreaming nothing for Let there be music.

They're Still the Ones!
I love live music and this CD was a good one.....Orleans flew under the radar, in my opinion. A terrific group which produced some great stuff. This is a good one to have although I would hope it would encourage you to buy more of what is still available.

Its Orleans!
What's not to love? Definitely a favorite and bought to replace a cd I accidentally scratched all to crap when it fell under my car seat.

A must for any Orleans fan
Great effort by one of the best and most underrated bands of all time. Orleans has always combined pertinent lyrics on a variety of topics, great harmonies and very strong instrumentals - this cd has all of the tracks on the original recordings of their 2nd and 3rd albums: Let There Be Music and Waking & Dreaming - the disc entitled Still the One is fine but leaves off some outstanding cuts including The Path (awesome harmonies),You've Given Me Something (great feel good, lyrics and yet it rocks),Let There Be Music (one of their classics) or Golden State (nice vocal by John Hall)- now if they would only release their original album on cd because it is a 5 star as well.

My Youth
Ok, after you have gone back stage at a local arts college when Orleans was an Ithaca band just starting out, and you even went back stage and had beverage with the drummer, you are bringing something to the listening. So this is not an objective music critic opinion. Hearing them live in a small venue back in the sixties with the smell if incense in the air, no one inhaled, and appreciating their virtuosity expressed in hard to resist music, was simply great. And regardless of how many times I hear "You're still the one" I still want to sing.... Whoa, TMI?

great soft rocker.
Orleans had several really great soft rock discs out back in the seventies , this had the huge hit . 'still the one' on it. One thing you will notice is the midseventies trend to show shirtless men on the covers of albums. Even UFO the great rock group did that on 'no heavy petting' I believe. The message was the music is part of the seventies swinging orgiastic scene. Well, bands didn't have a choice and the sight of sweaty men may have enticed a few gals but.... The music was great on this one.
