Well, you have to read and tell the stories to young ones, not really attractive 'book' for them as there are no pictures. That's the reason why have rated a star less. Otherwise the book is really good, the stories are as near possibly to the originals with the names of the characters and contents unchanged as many a books tend to do these days. These stories are now fading away fast in the crowd of nonsence ninja turtle Pokémon harry potter world. Everybody must have cppy. The cover of the copy I received is not yellow but choclate/ black as appears on the site.

Although this is a translated from sanskrit to hindi version of the book but it is good for reading. The children as well as the adults will find this book very genuine & empirical to read the stories, specially the short 'shlok' श्लोक written at every story will give you a short glimpse of the original sanskrit text.And there are no hindi spelling mistakes which is very good and very rare to find now-a-days.I bought it for Rupee Rs.65/- in August 2017.

When i was in class 6-7th, i used to read this book called panchtantra and i enjoyed reading it... but somehow i wasnt able to complete this book in time and i shifted to another city... after 13 years i just somehow remembered the stories and the fact that i wasnt able to complete it made me search it amazon and BAM i got this and i ordered it and within a week it delivered and the nostalgia feeling ...... i cant simply describe it in words. ..... just awesome.

Must read book, which written very lucidly.

I had received two books though I had intended to Buy one. This was due to some technical glitches during the online payment. One of the Books has pages missing between 45 to 63 and the continuity is lost. The Other book I have gifted it. So, there is missing link. I have very bad experience with the Sellers from Delhi.

Panchtrantra is my religious book. wish i had read all stories before!
