Fun vibe, total speak easy feel. Easy to install, I put it on my den door and have decorated the area like a speak easy and this little grille just added to the fun.

It's small, yes, but historically the speakeasy grilles were this size. They weren't meant to see the person on the other side. Only for speaking passwords through. It's so cool and suits my mid century craftsman very well! If you're expecting something from The Wizard Of Oz that you could hang your head out of and scold your visitors for ringing your doorbell then you'll be disappointed.

This is followed up by a brass lion mouth knocker. I just want to be able to shut a tiny door like in the wizard of oz to be honest.

The small solid steel door adds a nice touch, and when someone comes over, you can open it to check them out. It's got these really high-quality hinges with a solid brass pin and bushing, which sounds fancy but basically means they're super sturdy. The latch keeps the door locked, so it's like having a secure viewing window into a secret entrance or something. Plus, it's made of heavy-duty steel, so you know it's tough, and the black powder coat finish makes it look sleek. They even throw in the mounting screws – bonus points for that! Overall, it's a solid buy if you want to spruce up your gate and feel a bit fancy.

The media could not be loaded. This is a really cool little door gate. It's much heavier and way more solid than I expected. This is solid metal and could be put in a classic castle and not be out of place, it's made that well. The latch moves easy and doesn't drag or pinch, also the nob has that rose pattern I have seen on old handmade nail heads. It comes with mounting screws and two plates. The plate with the door and the grate plate. It is on the smaller size but thats kind of the point of this item. I was planing on using this on a garden gate door but after getting it Im putting it on the kids playroom door that looks down the stairs. I am refinishing the kids playroom door anyway and figured this would be the coolest little feature that the kids would love. The finish and paint seem really solid and the finish is smooth, I wouldn't be worried about using this indoors or out, overall its a really unique and cool looking door window.

I love this speakeasy door. I have a large gate I am putting this in so I can look out without having to open it up. This is fairly small, but I think that is the idea with these. It's made super well and should have no issues with our rainy weather here. It really is some high-quality metal and powder coating and I think it justifies the somewhat high price.
