Forget about separate rubber boots
Used these on an install for an outdoor HD antenna and a scanner antenna. Originally, I had hard time trying to find separate rubber boots (like DIRECTV uses on their installs)locally or online and didn't want to go with a liquid sealant. Then, I came across these and they were way cheaper than the "F" type compression fittings sold in smaller quantities at the local big box stores. It was a no-brainer after reading the other reviews. Plus, I could hold off on the install for a couple of days. They were installed on both RG6-Q and RG6-U cables for a little over a month and have had multiple strong storms since April without any moisture issues. At first, I was unsure how well they would be installed on the cable due to the rubber booted head, but had no issues compressing them with my DataShark compression tool. Rubber fits snugly onto threaded receivers. The knurled end of the connector makes tightening by hand quick and painless versus the traditional compressions connectors, especially when the traditional types are couple with separate rubber boots. These bad dudes still have a hex nut incorporated so that you able to finish snugging them down with a 7/16 inch wrench. I am not sure why anyone would buy or hassle with any other kind of "F" type compression fittings. I don't usually getting excited over connectors, but they are definitely the small wait in shipping and the price.

Check your crimper or modify it.
These do not fit in my Ideal Crimper (see photo) that I bought at least a decade ago. I just dremeled out the opening just a bit since it's a metal frame crimper and all is well. This is why I give it 4 stars. These connection ends match what the "pros" used in my pedistool. I needed to replace a botched line replacement.

Best connectors I've ever used!
I've used a few different compression connector designs (Snap-N-Seal, etc). They weren't "bad" by any means, but after doing a few installs with these Aqua Tight connectors, I'm never going back! For starters, they slip right onto the coax! They're short enough to fit into my little Ideal compression tool (I've used some connectors that were too long and required an adjustable length tool). Then there's the grip ring, which essentially eliminates the need for a wrench to get them tight (although they do provide standard 7/16ths flats for wrench tightening). The weather boots are flexible and compress easily. So much easier than using separate seal rings. They don't fit into keystone jacks, so you'll need standard compression connectors for that. I find them preferable for indoor applications, simply for the grip rings.

Frustrated until I figured out the right way to install
What the feedback for this connector didn't mention was the right way to install this connector on Quad shield cable. I started out trying to install it with only bending back the first layer of wire shielding. Then, after some research on YouTube I found that you must bend back the first layer of wire, then the first layer of foil, then the second layer of wire, leaving only the 2nd layer of foil shield around the thick, white (usually) layer that surrounds the copper conductor. After that the connector slips nicely over the end of the cable and you can use the compression tool to secure it. Before using the compression tool you can pull the rubber boot off if you wish (it will be slightly damaged if you leave it on with some compression tools) and the nice knurled ring remains (nice feature, wonder why the "non-AquaTite" connnector does have this?). Now I love these connectors.

works great!
I used these connectors on RG6 quad as well as regular double shield RG6 and they worked just fine. It compressed no problem and the outer knurled ring makes it easy to tighten by hand most of the way and then maybe tighten the last bit with a wrench. The only negative is that because of the ring, it is a little fatter than a regular RG-6 connector so if you are installing on the back of a keystone plate, it may not fit. I have some keystone plates with coax couplers on them and they would not fit so I had to use regular RG-6 connectors on those. The rubber outside boot is nice for keeping outside connections from corrosion. For indoor use, you can cut off the rubber boot with a razor. The rubber boot makes it just a little harder to screw on the connector but not a big deal.

work great
the body, for the most part, is a solid, heavy duty piece and sturdy. for the price you can't go wrong. the boot on them lasts quite a while in all weather, and holds onto my rg6 like s champ. the round part meant to ease screwing on/off with your fingers comes off with little pressure. otherwise it's not needed on an otherwise great product!

The most versatile F connector ... get this one. You wont be sorry.
This is the one to get.especially if you are like me and already have the Harbor Freight compression tool. The shorter non XL type F connectors will not give you a tight bite on the coax. The knurl is helpful to hand tighten. You have the option always to rip off the weather boot for inside use too. Get the 50 pack. I have had to make a bunch of custom lengths... more than I expected to do my antenna project. Getting the smaller amount would have been a false economy for me.If this was helpful, give it a bump thanks.

We got tired of some of the older stuff that tends to go bad after a couple years
We got these because we do allot of outdoor cable install on various systems near lakes and rivers. We got tired of some of the older stuff that tends to go bad after a couple years. We have 5 cable end compressors and this cable connector works great in all of them. (over priced Ideal to the cheepo)strip the cable. slide the connector on and pop it in the press...The Rubber Grommet on the end will be collapsible in the press and go right back to its normal size...OR press it forget it.... No need to take the rubber end off...We WILL be buying more of these..
