Excellent for Price
This is a very inexpensive set of flashlights, which double as a lantern. It is not a spot light or small sun and it is a little silly to expect it to be super bright. If you want bright, buy a flashlight that cost more than the shipping. It is a small flashlight/lantern that produces enough light for you to view your immediate area. The lantern would easily light up a regular sized tent. Expect some light to still escape through the bottom (flashlight cone) when you are using it as a lamp. This is actually useful if you intend to hang it by the attached strings. It feels like it is well made for the cost and seems like it could take a fall or two. i would recommend it. I plan to use it on a camping trip to light the tend and possibly find my way into the woods to "water the trees" at night if need be.

Good for the price-bright
The concept of a flashlight and stand up lantern is helpful and unique. It is also very bright for being so small. I don't like that the only on/off is unscrewing it so the battery isn't fully connected. It sometimes flicks back on after you think you turned it off and set it down.

Good little flashlights
Good flashlights with good light both as flashlight and also as lanterns, the only draw back is that they use three AAA batteries and the life of small batteries is very limited. In a pinch not for long might just be fine but not for a long blackout. Handy to keep by your nightstand to find the fuse box or to change a tire on the road, can't complain on the price.
