Dream Whip Dessert Topping Mix, 170g/6oz

My grandma uses dream whip in her "old timey" baked desserts and I figured it would be a good pantry staple to have on hand. I don't recommend using dream whip plain. Even when prepared as directed with vanilla extract (I used pure) it still tastes, well, artificial and strange--like I was eating plastic. So I would only recommend this if you've used it before in some old recipe where it's mixed with something else to hide the artificial flavor, for example, in one recipe Grandma mixed it with pineapple. I would only use Dream Whip in a recipe that calls for it. It's a poor substitute for real whipped cream or even Cool Whip.

I like to use the Dream Whip powder when I make birthday cakes, and it is very difficult to find in the grocery stores. I am thankful that I can purchase Dream Whip from Amazon.

Kind of pricey but due to unavailablity in local stores did not mind. Making refrigerator sheetcake from my childhood. I had to improvise pudding topping but now will not have to😀

I had a pie recipe that called for Dream Whip. I went to Kroger’s but all they had was their brand which had a different measurement than my recipe called for. Walmart nor Meijers had Dream Whip...completely out because of the holidays. I was so relieved to find it on Amazon. It arrived earlier than expected and package secure.

Great old product!

So easy to whip up! My mother used Dream Whip for years in some of our favorite holiday recipes. Its hard to find around here anymore, so I was very happy to find it on Amazon. Same great taste I remember from my childhood. Received very quickly. Highly recommend this seller and product.

Always on time and packaged well. The Great British Baking Show has me baking again..no tart is complete without some Dream Whip.

It whipped well and quickly. It’s much sweeter than cool whip and not as good in my opinion. If I had to describe the taste it would be like a marshmallow. Very corn syrupy/synthetic. I don’t see much point in this product since you still have to whip it up and make a bowl and beaters dirty. May as well buy real whipping cream for a much superior flavour. Or if you don’t mind something fake for convenience sake, you can get cool whip which tastes more like fluffy ice cream. I guess it has the advantage of being shelf stable? I won’t be buying it again as it just doesn’t taste very good in my opinion.

I love this product! Seeing I had a order going in, I thought I might as well order these too! So convenient and a great way to always have it on hand. You just never know when you could use it to bring any desert up to the next level! :)

To each their own but I personally don't like the taste and I don't think one packet produces enough whip cream for a dessert. In the future I'd probably choose a frozen ready made whip cream over this.

Dream Whip is the best for topping a baked pie. We found this impossible to buy in our local grocery stores.

Perfect to keep in pantry for when needed better than having to keep buying whipped cream and not using it all before going bad
