can chop fairly large limbs with ease am shocked. it makes long rows of hedge work a breeze. the wide spacing between the cutters are ultra efficeint at slicing limbs big leaves and everything in between. this machine is worth every penny spent on it. now that i have used this hedge shear many months i notice it developes some kind of vapor lock with the engine after about one hour or so of cutting. sometimes if i let it sit and cool down for about one hour it can fire up and be used again for another hour or so. very strange, however one hour of use can finish most jobs. it always fires up the next day without fail...is why i think its vapor lock with the carb. also that fuel filler neck is way to close to the engine housing. making it very troublesome to get a tight seal when your screwing the fuel cap back on. many times, it appears tight,, but then leaks fuel..until you remove the cap and carefully screw it back on. this close positioning of the fuel cap causes your knuckles to get scraped when screwing it on. fortunately the plastic is very forgiving on cap and filler neck and the cross threading does not harm the threads. thats a design flaw, should be easy to correct as well as the vapor lock problem. because of the hassle of stopping work by the vapor lock i do not recommend this thing..unless you know how to do some carb adjustment or something. to bad because it sure is powerful and cuts SUPER well. but another bad thing is that movable handle needs to be bolted in one place cause it does NOT stay secure in one position...powerful machine and cuts big stuff easily [1 inch branches] but to many design flaws...especially the vapor lock shut downs!

We purchased this product, the first time we tried to use the trimmer it wouldn't turn on and the pull string came right out in my hand. I have tried to return, but cannot. Cannot find a way to get a hold of the manufacturer. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT

This machine has good power and the blades are very sharp. It does an excellent job trimming hedges but it is a little heavy. I would buy another one. I think it's a good deal for the money.

It wasn't made the best ,real cheap looking

A bit fussy to attach the throttle cable. But once done it's easy!! Cable has a "bulb" on end, after passing it through guide, cable slips into "screw" slot (not behind it) and bulb drops into slot to pull throttle open. Easiest if one takes the backing plate off the air cleaner so one can see and rotating the throttle down so there's better access. Fuel mix is 25to1 vs classic 40to1. Starts easily with a short puff of starter fluid behind the air cleaner it starts her right up, if one remembers to turn the OFF switch back to ON. I recommend as a solid buy!!

I had to replace the one bolt and tap the hole for the longer bolt and modify the handle to get it to fit correctly and there was some confusion about what mix to use after reading the small paperwork that came with it I decided to use 50/1 seems to run fine the paperwork says you can use other mixs but since everything else I have runs on 50/1 the choice was easy

Why pay more for the name brand when this one does the same?Starts quick, works great and lightweight.
