Awesome Vacuum Cleaner!!! We're Impressed.
This is not an in-depth review, just our brief experience and why we chose this vacuum cleaner. This is our first Shark brand vacuum cleaner. We had Hoover vacuum cleaners before, and liked them alot, until the last two motors burnt out. So we decided to go with a different brand. After much research and review, we chose Shark mainly based on features, price, and reviews. We found the Shark Navigator ZU560 had the features we wanted; lift-away, self-cleaning brushroll (Zero M), anti-allergen complete seal, HEPA filter, bagless, and lightweight. This model does not have the lights but that wasn't a deal breaker. We decided against the newer models with the DuoClean feature. We didn't think having DuoClean was worth it based on it's designed purpose and the issues some people were experiencing. So far, we have used our vacuum on hardwood, tile, carpet, and stairs. The Shark maintained great suction power throughout cleaning. The lift-away feature was a pleasure when on the stairs. The Zero-M self-cleaning brushroll was very clean and worked well indicated by the large amount of pet hair and long human hair that was in the canister. The only complaint we have is that it has storage for only one attachment on the vacuum cleaner. It would be nice to be able to store at least one more attachment on it. Overall, we are very impressed with this Shark vacuum cleaner. We haven't had this vacuum cleaner for very long, so we will up this review if anything else pops up.

Wow. Best option for long hair. Refurbished poorly so -1 star.
I'm pretty impressed. So I was in search of something that could handle long (human) hair wrapping around the roller. <$100 vacuums just end up getting damaged on the motor or belt, or they're impossible to clean.First, a lot of the would-be-wrapped hair is automatically stripped from the roller by the vacuum. It's not perfect, but gets more than half of it. So now you lay the thing down and look at the roller, it has these rubber squeegee things running across, which keep the hair-wrap lifted off of the brush. Use scissors, knife, or seatbelt-cutter to break the wrap and pull it out (I actually just turned it back on and let it get sucked right in). But, way less clumping than my old vacuum.I've been without a vacuum for about a month because I've been on a try-and-fail hunt for a replacement, so it was more hair than I would usually have to handle. I think this thing will mostly self-clean the hair wraps on a typical basis. And with those squeegee things you don't even need to remove the roller, and it's not like a flat wide clump - it's more like a couple of loose narrow bands of hair that the auto-removal didn't process. If you're having problems with long hair and don't want to get a $500+ vacuum like every Reddit vacuum thread recommends, give this one a try.Pros:-Suction power on this thing is amazing.-Surprisingly quiet for the mount of suction.-Lay-flat is actually flat the Dust drum of course limits how far under something you can get but I could get about a foot deep under my couch).-The brush/floor assembly has a self-check indicator that turns red when there's an obstruction. So it's like a decent piece of electronic equipment not just a cheap piece of plastic with a motor.-Seriously, the long-human-hair handling.Cons:-The refurbished unit came with a couple pieces of plastic under the roller assembly damaged, and there are metal guards that should be held by the plastic that are loose. I'm going to just use epoxy to fix but the refurbishing company clearly doesn't care about an actual refurbishment, so don't get your hopes up. If I knew how good this vacuum was I'd totally buy new, it's well-worth the MSRP. This is the reason for 4 stars.-Nitpicky here but the release clip on the handle extension is not in a natural position - maybe if you're a lefty or short. It's fine.I wouldn't hesitate. I'd also consider buying new, wish I had. With a 1-br apartment I couldn't bring myself to buy one of those commercial buy-it-for-life European models so this is still something well-made without breaking the bank and it's appropriate for the job.

Refurbished gem!
I often purchase refurbished items from Amazon, including two iPads and this vacuum and all have arrived looking as if they were never used, although they usually lack the original packaging. I don’t consider that a big deal because so much is available online if you’re looking for instructions, etc.. regarding the quality of this shark vacuum, I love it! We have owned a Kirby since 1990 and it is a beast to carry around. This little puppy does just as good of a job vacuuming, maybe even better, and I don’t have to break my back, luggingit up a flight of stairs! I also love having the removable cup and not requiring a bag replacement like my Kirby does. I just might be purchasing another one of these for our second home in the south so I can get rid of the Kirby!
