Bought for gift for inside joke. Very thin metal, worked for my purpose.

The image portrayed 3D hand-painted crabs. That is not the case. These are flat metal printed crabs that are not attractive in any way. They are clearly not hand painted. As you can see from the photo close-up you can see the printer resolution lines on them. So while there may have been an original hand-painted crab at one point this is merely a photocopied version sublimated onto a thin piece of metal and they didn't even bother to cut out the white parts from the background. I would have been okay with the process of they had don't it with some quality and if the metal had been 3D like the picture made it seem. They are small and I don't imagine this metal used will make a very pleasant sound, if they sound at all. Most of the crabs don't even touch (see photo). Very disappointed in the misleading advertising and I will be returning and do not expect to pay shipping for handling since it was marked free returns and the product does not look anything like it was advertised. The fact that they are small windchimes means you need to hang them low enough for people to see so you don't even have the advantage of hanging then high enough that people won't notice how cheap and cheesy they are. Awful product.

Giftable??-to a legally blind person?YES!! To some one who is blessed with the ability to actually see?-NO!! I hope this answers the question regarding if it's worth the money.

If you love the coast, you will love this one.

This is a really cute wind chime!! I haven't had much trouble with the strands getting twisted up either...only during very high wind events (tropical storm force winds!). I am pleased with this purchase and would purchase again!

Came in a small box I was worried as it was a Christmas gift but when opened it was perfect! Not cheesy looking crabs either.
