Moon Dominican Republic (Travel Guide)

I've been in DR two weeks now and have used the book often. It's OK but when everything is wonderful, and nothing is less than wonderful there is no way to choose between experiences. DR is in fact pretty nice but there are some bits that are not and some that are truly great and I wish she would have pointed those out.

Loved the exceptional attention to detail. Easy to follow and discover new adventures divided into separate regions. As you can tell I’m a huge fan of Dudú Lagoon (cover).

You can tell this book was written by an expert leaving in the DR. The author gives you a very detail perspective of the various areas to see in the Dominican Republic.I love how she provides you information on the best places to stay if you are a solo traveler and how to stay safe. Reading the book feels like I’m actually having a face- to- face conversation where she is telling exactly where to go, where to eat, where to experience the best beaches and culture events. She also focuses on how to experience all things local versus just focusing on resort areas. I feel that in order to discover the beauty of a country you must visit areas where locals go and not just tourist areas.The book is very well written with full of beautiful pictures. Everything you need to know about the DR is in this book. I can’t wait to use the book for my next trip to the Dominican Republic. She is clearly an expert on traveling to the DR and will recommend this book to anyone looking to go there on vacation.
