Used this to feed the tadpoles in my pond. They seemed to enjoy it. . .

This product was for rescued extremely tiny tadpoles (no idea what kind, but I've never seen them that small before) that were kept in an outside aquarium until they were old enough to be set free. It did seem to be exactly what they needed to stay healthy. However, it came with absolutely NO instructions, so I had to just guess at what would be appropriate. Having never raised tadpoles before, I was a little worried that I would overfeed or underfeed, so I went on the side of "better to underfeed a little than to overfeed and cause problems." It worked. I changed about half or more of the water daily, left some natural materials (leaves, sticks, etc.) in the aquarium, and fed them this product--just a pinch from each canister once a day. I even controlled the amount of sun and shade they received. Although, unfortunately, there were a few casualties, the vast majority thrived. When I set them (152 of them!) free in and near a small shallow stream, they were healthy, swimming, and hopping as they should. I actually kind of miss them, but I'm happy they are living the life they were born to live. And I think I owe a great deal of that to this product.

I use it to feed my African clawed frog tadpoles. The tadpoles seem to love the food and readily eat it. I bought the carnivore version.

My dwarf frogs eat live brine, and this. They won't eat other pellets.

It was what I was expecting. It stunk, like the reviews said, but I expected that. I can’t rate the flavor (thanks Amazon) but I’m not sure if my tadpoles ate it.We caught some tiny lake tadpoles as an experiment and needed to ensure they were eating. I honestly don’t know if they ate the food, but we did drop some of this in for them.To be honest. They ended up eating the boiled lettuce and boiled spinach we put in there more. (Read about that online) once they morphed into froglets, they pretty much needed to eat live food.I don’t know if it was worth getting this or not, but we felt we needed to at least try to help our tadpoles survive in captivity (out of 7, one made it and is a cute lol’ toad.
