very good all purpose belt
FuelBelt Trail Runner 4 Bottle Belt, BlackI received this belt yesterday and tried it out this morning for the 1st time. Worked fantastic. This is the 1st belt i've ever tried. As I originally opened package I could see this beltwas constructed very well.It is a one size fits all-adjustable belt and fortunately for me it was adjusted perfectly for me already. It comes adjustable for all sizes and has a strong velcro connection to close.I generally do my runs outdoors on the street (3 miles) but do some runs up to 5 miles. today I only filled 2 side bottles and left 2 rear bottles empty. After 1st 5 minutes of my runI completely forgot I had belt on. Did not slip or turn at all. The 2 velcro pockets and 2 zipper pockets are a great extra. I probably won't use them much as I use a wrist Road IDand generallydon't carry any snacks. This belt is excellent. Only possible cons would be that the bottle holders hold bottles very securely which is great but would make it very difficult to use while running. Also, larger zipper pocket in padded rear is large enough for my cell phone but might decrease my comfort. I usually keep cell in shorts.I will try cell in pocket on my next run.As far as some other reviews saying their arms hit bottles while running. For me that is a non issue as I run with arms bent at 90 degrees. No problem at all.I could definitely see a possible problem for walkers as you would keep your arms much lower. All in all I believe I will be happy with this belt and am very glad I purchased it.Highly recommended !!!

Great belt!
Having never worn a fuel belt before, I was hesitant to buy one with four bottles, but my husband and I usually run together, so I felt we needed more than a couple bottles. I've worn this a few times now on short and long runs and it's really great. Definitely takes a bit getting used to with the added weight, but if I wear it higher up on my waist, I really don't notice it that much. The pockets are great for keys, credit cards, etc. and there are also flat zipper pockets behind the pouch pockets that are good for money and flatter objects. The fact that the belt is so adjustable is a huge plus since my husband and I can both wear it if need be. The bottles are a bit difficult to pull out of the holder, but that may be because i'm not really used to it and the belt is still new.Overall, I would say this is a great fuel belt - especially for those who may be trying one for the first time. I've known people to buy more inexpensive belts and they don't like them at all because they are not comfortable. I can definitely say that while you notice the extra weight a bit, it is definitely not uncomfortable to wear.

Everything I hoped for.
After reading the reviews, I decided on this belt because it was adjustable (so I could share it with relatives with different waist sizes), and had four pockets. I'm a runner who is training for a marathon. As I started getting into higher mileage, I needed to hydrate more frequently, which meant I had to keep returning to my house every few miles to hydrate. I bought this belt so I could stay out for longer periods of time without returning home. So far I used to belt on a 10 mile run and it worked great. I was able to keep my usual pace, but had to adapt a little to having this thing on my waist. I tried wearing it low on my hips, but it rode up so I retightened it and actually preferred where it was. It did bounce from time to time, but it never was a problem. The bottles stayed out of the way of my arms and didn't leak at all. Getting the bottles in and out does take two hands, but, again, with some practice this wasn't a problem. Same with the pockets...they are basically behind you so it takes a minute to get them open, but with practice this won't be an issue. All of these "issues" are erased by having enough water with me to last through long runs without turning around. The pockets hold everything I need, including two clif bars, my cell phone and some GU packs. I look forward to using this and I already see it as an invaluable tool.Update (10/2/11): One year later and I couldn't run without this. I'm only up to 16 miles, but it's great to have three bottles of gatorade, one with water and pockets for shot bloks, cough drops and a clif bar (sometimes two). I always use them in races too so I can have MY flavor of gatorade. This was a great purchase for me.

LOVE LOVE LOVE
I am training for a marathon and had a different system that I had bought years ago for hiking. I had used the other one a few times for shorter runs but the weight wasn't evenly displaced and my stride was off so needed something for my long runs.I wore this yesterday for my 20 mile run and it did amazingly!! It has 4 pockets. In 2 of them I put my honey stingers and in the other 2 I put my credit card and clifgels. I probably could have added other small things to the pockets with the gels, but I use an arm band for my phone so put my key in that. The belt DID NOT MOVE at all during the run. I was so amazed. It stayed on my hips, it didn't bounce, the weight was evenly distributed and I barely knew it was there at all.By about mile 17 I was getting thirstier and had to stop and fill up some of the bottles, but that's more me than the product, considering they lasted 17 miles just fine.I'm super impressed with this belt and only wish I'd gotten it sooner. I'll probably wear it on my marathon, too, just to have the extra hydration and I won't have to buy a separate belt for my gels/stingers for the actual race.
