Super sturdy, even when cooking at higher temps or for longer periods. I was using regular ziplocks but these are much more durable!

Necessary item
Cooking "sous vide" has changed our approach to the barbecue. Four minutes is now all the time steaks, etc. take on the barbecue to have the desired finish while being cooked uniformly throughout.

Four Stars
The pouches work pretty well, if the ziplock worked better these would be perfect.

Another BPA and phthalate product for storing food. SousVide, you're awesome!
I don't have a SousVide machine. I freeze alot of food and I use these SousVide cooking pouches with my FoodSaver vaccuum sealer because they are BPA and phthalate free.

Great quality bags for the price
I had several rolls of a competitor's vacuum sealer plastic to use up before I tried these bags. I absolutely love these bags. They're far more convenient to use than having to cut bags to size. Each bag is a little larger than I expected, but they work well in my foodsaver. I don't think I'll ever return to using the rolls. The slight premium in cost for the pre-made bags is worth it.

The best bags especially designed for sous-vide cooking
These are excellent bags. They are not as thick as the Foodsaver's bags but they have an immense advantage, which is that they are designed for sous-vide cooking . This means that they can bear prolonged immersion in a hot water bath without the seals breaking open whereas the Foodsaver's bags can't. So if you just want to extend the shelf life of your food you may want to order foodsaver bags (in which case order from the US Amazon website, even with the delivery it works out cheaper for the One Quart bags). But if you want to do sous-vide cooking, the Supreme bags are the ones to go to.There is, however, another reason to go for this: all bags for non vacuum chambers sous vide machines have one side embossed to get the air out of the bag. On most, the pattern is very prominent, which means that if you vacuum some food to keep it in the fridge you get an imprinted diamond pattern on your meat or fish. I don't find this very attractive! By contrast, the Supreme sous-vide bags have a very fine, grid like set of indentations which hardly leaves any mark on the food. So it's much prettier to look at when you take it out of the bag. I know, it's a detail but if you're serving the food for guests it can make a difference... :)

Works well with FoodSaver V3230 vacuum sealer
I bought these for use with a FoodSaver V3230 vacuum sealer. They work great with that model.I had originally been using the FoodSaver brand bags that came with my vacuum sealer. They worked fairly well, although I would usually have to seal each bag two or three times to prevent leaks from occurring at the seams. When the original FoodSaver bags ran out, I bought new ones. However, for some reason the folks at FoodSaver decided to change the design of their bags. The new ones no longer seal properly using the V3230! You can try re-sealing the same seam multiple times, but it never fully seals. Shame on you, FoodSaver. These bags, on the other hand, work perfectly with my V3230. I still double-seal each seam to be on the safe side, although I'm not sure if it's necessary. I have used them several times so far and I haven't encountered any leaks. So for anyone with a FoodSaver V3230 vacuum sealer, don't waste your time with the new FoodSaver brand bags. They're useless. Buy these, or another third-party bag, instead.

Great quality, sturdy, in a good variety of sizes. The only brand for me.
I always use the SousVide brand in my water bath. The bond well in my vac pac sealer, and aren't as flimsy as some others I've tried. They also come in both hot sealable, or with a slide seal, if you're using the archimedes method for liquids.
