Got this for a 7 year old who loved the movies. It was more on her reading level than the full book. She enjoyed it and the nice pictures inside.

I just read Anne of Green Gables for the first time as an adult and my immediate thought was I needed an edition that would be perfect for my just-starting-to-read grand-daughter to introduce her to the story. I checked out multiple editions from my local library and finally happened upon this series. It is full of lovely illustrations and the text has been condensed enough to make it a good read aloud length while sticking to the story. I purchased it as a birthday gift and can't wait to see if she loves it as much as I do!

I have never read Anne of Green Gables so I have nothing to compare this to. I purchased this series to help my 7 year old daughter transition into chapter books for bedtime reading. I had intended to just read 1 chapter a night to her in addition to her own reading she does for school. Well….we finished the entire book! My daughter really enjoyed this and it opened up conversations about orphans and adoption. So happy I purchased the whole series, we will be starting the 2nd book tomorrow, and I may even get a copy of Anne of Green Gables for myself to read!

We love love love these books! I read them aloud to my 6yo daughter and my 8yo who is at about a 2nd grade reading level loves them too. It's just the right amount of difficulty for her. It's never too early to fall in love with Anne with an E, imo. The illustrations are darling! Can't wait for the rest!

The story and pictures are darling! It shipped without any protective packaging in a box much larger than the book. The hard bound book cover and slipcover have minor damage from not being protected as it bounced around.

Anne of Green Gables has been my favorite for years! I bought this book for my daughter. She loves reading and I hoped Anne would be a story we could bond over. We are both in love with this book. Somehow, the author managed to perfectly capture the essence of Anne of Green Gables in just 64 pages. The illustrations are whimsical and beautiful. Of all the different Anne books I could have gotten my daughter (she's 8) I'm glad I chose this one. Waiting and hoping for the next book to be released in paperback. I hope there is a lot more to come for this series. It exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend it to any parent who wants to introduce their child to Anne.

This ended up being a bit too easy for my 7 year old daughter (she read it in 10 minutes) but she is a good reader so it might be good for kids who are just starting chapter books. I loved that it gave her a little taste of Anne as a sort of primer for the real thing.

This series!! It’s to die for. My 5 year old read them 3 times through already. The pictures are beautiful!! What a great intro into Anne of Green Gables. Can’t wait for the next book in August!!

なかなか手に入らない洋書だから利用。例の薄っぺらい茶色の封筒の上部は折り曲がり投函されており、案の定本の角とカバーにきず。素敵な本の作者、出版社、そして読者がどれだけ失望しているのかわかってほしい。返品は面倒だし、また傷ついて来るだろうし…イラストもかわいらしく赤毛のアンファンには超おすすめですが、大型書店で探すか海外の実店舗で探すことを強くおすすめする。

Absolutely fantastic! Perfect introductory chapter book. My 6 year old loved this book. I can't wait to get her the next one in the series! Please keep writing these beautiful simplified Anne of green gables books.
