Q: Can 2 100 sq mats be connected together?

Yes you can connect two 100 Sqft mats together but they must be connected in parallel, meaning the two lives must be connected together and the two neutrals must be connected together. The 240v 100Sqft mat is rated at 1200 watts (5amps), connecting them in parallel will give you 2400 watts (10amps). Our OJ Microline programmable thermostats have a maximum load capacity of 15amps so it's well below the max.

Q: I am considering replacing my baseboard heat with a heated floor. Will the floor system heat the room or does it just warm the floor for your feet?

It only heats the floor. It will not heat the room.

Hello, we only sell the heating mat with a floor sensor, we include the floor sensor at no cost, so you not paying more for the set.

Q: If i have more then i needed. can i cut it?

Hello, no the heater wire cannot be cut, the resistance and wattage is calculated on the full length of heater wire, if the heater wire is cut it'll change the resistance thus changing the heaters performance. If you really stuck you can remove some of the heating wire from the mat and lay it in any open floor space you may have. In this situation please ensure you keep at least 1 inch spacing (2 inches is best) between wires, and tape the loose heater wire down at 1ft intervals.
