Dried out my hair
I've seen a fair number of good reviews on the KAO Asience Inner Rich (gold bottle) line of shampoo and conditioner, so I decided to give it a try as my hair is always dry. I'm also Korean so I figured an asian product made for asian hair would be a great for me. To get an idea, I'm a male, a young adult, live in an area with hard water, and have thick coarse hair that is currently shoulder length.Unfortunately, after about a week of using the Asience set, my hair is very dried out and has almost a hay bail type look to it (which was not the case before). Even after two days I could tell that the shampoo was stripping too much from my hair. It lathers nicely however and does have a decent smell that lasts until my next shower. The conditioner has an unusual greasy texture to it, but doesn't seem to cause me any problems with my already somewhat oily skin type. It adds some weight to my hair which is fine since I keep it flat anyway, but it does not leave my hair shiny (most likely because my hair is too dry from the shampoo). Even using large amounts, or not completely rinsing the conditioner out does not solve my problem with the shampoo. Not sure if using just the conditioner would be beneficial.Overall, this set did not work well for ME, but it may just be my hair type.Pros:Nice size to tryReasonably pricedDecent shampoo smell that lastsConditioner does not leave hair greasyCons:Shampoo strips too much awayShampoo makes hair very dryHair not shiny

Made for Asian hair type?? YES.
Asian hair is allegedly "silky and super straight". My hair has always been on the medium-thick side, slightly coarse, and there's a ton of it. I've tried EVERYTHING to make my hair soft: Keratin treatments, keratin hair care products, Brazilian blowout, high-end salon products, etc. All of them work for a little while, but after 2 weeks they become ineffective. This is probably due to a) overprocessing and/or b) those products aren't formulated for my hair type.KAO Asience Inner Rich Hair Care was recommended to my stylist from another Asian client. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm always willing to try hair products. This is the first hair care line that actually DOES work on my hair. I noticed the results immediately. My hair was softer, super shiny, and air dried perfectly (which NEVER happens). After more than a month of use, my hair is still amazing. The shampoo cleans effectively without drying out my hair, and the conditioner doesn't weigh my hair down at all. Somehow Asience has the perfect balance to make my hair soft and healthy looking. I would absolutely recommend this to any Asian women having trouble finding the right hair care products!

Only So-So
First off, let me start with the good. KAO Inner Rich Shampoo & Conditioner is easy to work through hair and only a quarter-sized amount of each was needed for mine, which falls just below my shoulder blades. The shampoo had a nice lather and the conditioner did a good job softening my hair. I didn't feel any sort of greasiness or build-up after washing and conditioning.Unfortunately, I was immediately put off by the smell. I have a somewhat sensitive nose and admit to only rarely wearing light perfumes, but this product is just too much for me. As soon as I put some of the shampoo in my hand I started to get a headache. It smelled like I had dropped an entire bottle of perfume in the shower. Even now, hours after drying my hair, I can smell that awful perfume/cologne scent coming off of my hair and it's almost nauseating. It also left my hair looking rather dull and somewhat lifeless. While I'm sure this shampoo & conditioner would be great for the right hair type (and for someone who isn't bothered by the smell), I'll have to switch back to Ichikami or Tsubaki until I can find something more suitable to add to my shampoo/conditioner rotation.

If it's Asience, believe it!
I was iffy about the Asience Inner Rich set. One is because I was afraid it wouldn't have any impact to my hair, and two is because it was an "Asian" brand. The products I was using were Garnier and Treseme. After I took showers, my hair ends would be so dry that it looked crispy!I did a lot of research before I decided to purchase the Asience Inner Rich set. I would read the reviews on Amazon and try to look for video reviews on YouTube (none found). Finally, I was determined to try the Asience Inner Rich set because it was made specifically for Asian hair.Frankly, I was very glad I chose this product because not only did it make my hair extra soft, it smelled great! The next day I put the product to test by straightening my hair and honestly, my hair was so gorgeous! It had no tangles, my hair had a shine to it, and most importantly, it was healthier. Now, I trust Asience and any products that are made specifically for Asians.*If possible, I will do a video review on the Asience Inner Rich set if requested.Love,C.

Great product, kinda pricey
Really love this! I'm Asian American and felt like this product was suitable for my hair type (which is colored right now, and wavy). I also really loved the smell. Wish they came in bigger sizes and were less pricey for the amount I got.
