EXPERIMENTAL WAFFENROCK Parade Uniform PRODUCED IN 1939 FOR THE GROSSDUETCHLAND INFANTRY REGIMENT. The cap is a German Army NCO Visor Cap The Waffenrock was the most elegant Army dress uniform. The tunic features an embroidered bullion officer's breast eagle, with medal bar. There is also a first class Marksmanship lanyard with the attachment button under the shoulderboard. There is also a replica Iron Cross I. Class, and an Infantry Assault Badge, which was designed by C. E. Junker of Berlin and instituted on December 20, 1939 by Generaloberst von Brauchitsch. The initial class was instituted in silver and decorated foot infantry who participated in combat action earning a degree of experience that qualified them for the badge. The tunic and insignia are all first class and finely detailed replica's. The fabric is a soft, luxury material. The collar tabs, eagle, and cuff bars are beautifully made in replica bullion on green badgecloth. The shoulderboards are bright silvercolour on black with green piping, with gilded numerals '93' indicating the tunic was made for an officer of the 93rd Infantry Regiment. The lining is khaki green artificial silk, and there is a makers stamping with "Arthur Kuck, Berlin" - which we also assume is a reproduction! There is also a German ribbon bar medal with lots of little replica badges on it, and 2 sleeve patches. See photos for all details. Even the inside of the tunic is well made, with striped insides of the sleeves, and the metal dagger clip is in perfect cond. at the waist line. A fantastic and hard to find officer's Waffenrock that will enhance any collection!
