Model 3 Bodygrip and Longspring Setter

Yeah, you can set Conibear traps without these but it's so much easier and less nerve wracking with them. It's a very basic tool but the leverage makes dealing with trap much less stressful. It's easier to set and it's easier to get the dead animal back out.

Different manufacturers/brands must use similar, but different model/sizing standards. We have existing beaver traps that seemed like they should have worked just fine with this setter, however this setter is SMALL. Like, made for squirrel/rat/weasel/mink trap sizes, not for beaver traps. It makes the setting process easier than having no setter at all, but you still need two people to set the trap using this setter.

Saves me from snapping my fingers off when setting my Duke Body Grip traps. Easy to use. FYI: Found instructional video on youtube by searching "setting a trap body grip".

As an amateur trapper, this tool was invaluable knowing the danger of hurting yourself when setting the trap. Caution still needs to be observed but this tool should be an essential part of the trapping kit.

I purchased these expecting a 330 setter. To my displeasure I found that it was only for 110. So I gave this to my sister, who it works well for, and bought a good one at my local farm store for 7 bucks.

Simple design that works and is just what you need to rapidly reset and deploy traps.

Works good to set Duke traps. Good quality and doesn't rust. Just be careful setting traps so you dont hurt yourself, they're no joke.
