So, Sweet Temptation had me hooked from the start—think “I’ll just read one more chapter” that quickly turned into, “Oops, I finished the whole thing.” Cassio, our moody Mafia underboss, ends up in an arranged marriage with Giulia, a sweet-but-tough young woman suddenly playing stepmom to his kids. And while Cassio tries to keep things strictly business, Giulia is determined to crack that stoic exterior. Spoiler alert: She totally does. Their story is packed with secrets, surprising tenderness, and enough drama to keep you on your toes.Now, I have to say, some parts had me thinking, “Yeah, we didn’t really need that.” A little less Mafia brooding would’ve been fine by me, but hey, different strokes for different folks. Some readers might love the extra drama—I’ll let you decide whether those parts are a hit or a skip.What really sold me, though, was seeing Cassio soften up for Giulia. There’s just something about a hardened bad boy turning into a total sweetheart for his woman that makes my heart do a little happy dance. And trust me, if you're into that too, this book delivers. The spice level was a respectable 3—not quite enough to fan myself, but definitely enough to keep things warm. Would I have minded a bit more heat? Absolutely not. But the chemistry between these two still kept me flipping pages.If you're in the mood for a Mafia romance with some heart, a little grit, and a grumpy hero who ends up sweeter than expected, then Sweet Temptation is worth the read. Just prepare yourself for a few extra dramatic detours along the way!

This is a mafia standalone romance. Giulia Rizzo is a young, girl forced into an arranged marriage to the cruel, unforgiving widowed Cassio Moretti. Cassio is a single father with two very young children.I truly adored Giulia. She is so young and is given a huge responsibility to marry this brutal man, and become a mother to his children. She is a strong, kind, fun, mature, quich-witted, sassy girl with a big heart. She had so much love and patience to give this broken family. She had to work a lot to clean up the mess Cassio's previous wife left behind. I loved her style. Very refreshing character.I loved Cassio. He is a brutal, cruel, protective, possesive man. He loves his children above all else. He didn't want to marry a girl so much younger than him. But she wasn't what he expected. They are so different but their chemistry was everything. So hot! Their love is strange but they make sense. Cassio was very lonely, with a lot of responisibilites on his shoulders. Giulia changed that. She changed his life. Made him feel young, free and loved for the first time. Both had their doubts, but they fell for each other slowly. It was wonderful to follow their journey from physical to emotional."She wasn’t what I’d wanted in a wife, but hell, if she wasn’t exactly what I needed."This story was quite different from her previous mafia books, but in a good way. I fell in love with Giulia and Cassio. Their story was so sweet and heartwarming. Cassio is so possesive and protective of Giulia. I couldn't get enough of these two and their precious children. Cora's writing is wonderful. I loved it.

This was so much better than I thought it’d be! I’ve tried another of Cora’s books and DNF’d it. But this was so good. I was dying to know how Cassio and Guila’s story ended.There was a lot of growth needed for both the characters but it was sweet how both of them reached their HEA.I do think there could have been more depth and a deeper plot. But there was a lot of trauma on Cassio’s end and Guila was the perfect wife for him. I really loved them together and how she cared for his kids.I definitely cried at some parts 😅All in good! Good read! Binged it and forewent sleep to keep reading which in my opinion is a 5 star read 💁🏻‍♀️

“You brought chaos into my life.”“You like my kind of chaos.”This Mafia Romance is one of my top 5 reads in this genre for sure, even though there wasn’t as much mafia intensity and tortured side of things that they normally have.The author, Cora Reilly has a way with creating characters that have such a depth to them and unfolds each layer with care throughout the book. This is a standalone that can be combined with the Born in Blood Mafia series and the Camorra Chronicles.Cassio has two children ands wife died so he searches for a replacement wife…and isn’t happy with the choice being a barely old enough 18 year old. He’s testy on the subject for the first half of the book and I hated him just enough that when he started to shift into a man with emotions I couldn’t help but get all warm inside at where this could go.Guilia is badass in a subtle way. She struggles to figure out how to be a wife to a man who doesn’t want her in a world where she doesn’t have a say and a mom to two young kids who aren’t interested in anything let alone her.The tropes in this hit in all the right spots Arranged Marriage, Age Gap, Single Dad, & Mafia Romance.There really is a sweetness in the way that these two come together intimately as well as in their family roles, the name is very appropriate.

Second time reading this and I still love it like the first time.Honestly probably a comfort read for me;)

Essa história é completamente avassaladora. Recomendo demais, a vida de Cássio é uma montanha russa, uma loucura, mais a doce Giulia veio para mudar tudo. Amei casa parte do livro.

An unusual Cora Reilly mafia romance. Not as dark as previous books. The MFC is strong and resilient. It is a nice change from the explicit violence and brutality of the mafia world and the focus was on the development of the relationship between the characters. A sweet romance in the dark mafia world that leaves you fully satisfied.

No drama, strong MC as well as FC, good story line... worth a read.need such kind of books more.
