(+) The temperature display is great and something all kettles should have. It may feel gimmicky at first, it is anything but. Maybe you don't want 100C water, you can stop the kettle earlier. Maybe you do want 100C water, you can still stop the kettle at 85C or so and residual heat means the temperature will continue to rise until you reach 100C and you'll know about it. You can also use the temperature display to estimate how much time left to boil (although eventually most of us knows this by the sound of the kettle). Also, if you have any water left in the kettle, you can see the temperature and avoid a further boil if unnecessary (maybe your wife boiled it 10 minutes ago already). And if you have no water, you'll get an approximate reading on the temperature of your kitchen!(+) Looks good and nice handle.(-) It is not very fast to boil. Or at least it is definitely much longer than our previous kettle. If you're usually in a hurry when you boil your water, this may not be for you. In our case it is not too problematic as we can wait the few extra minutes.(-) The temperature display is a little bit strange to me. Temperatures are displayed every 20C but then between each temperature displayed you have 2 extra marks (dots). So the 2 dots represent about 7 degrees. So you see 20 in number, you see 40, in number too and then you have dots between. And if it's on the first dot between those 2 it's at 27C, and on the second dot it's at 34C. It's just a bit of a strange scale and harder to read than, say, if you only had 1 dot (for 30C). Also, the less water you have, the less reliable the temperature display is (it'll just lag behind the real temperature of water - for instance our kettle stops boiling while only showing 80C on the temperature display)(-) It's not plastic but partly metal so it will get hot.Overall it's not perfect, but we really love ours :)

I bought this as it’s a colour match for another kettle that only lasted a few months.Couldn’t get another one, so bought this.Nicely made. I like the enamel feel of the finish. The temperature gauge is a nice gimmick but not something I need.Just an update. I left the top off after I filed it. Boiled it and the steam melted the plastic coat on the handle. My stupid mistake.

I absolutely loved the look of this kettle when I bought it. Unfortunately it is quite slow at boiling but I didn’t really care. The main problem for me has been the peeling handle.I have only had the kettle for 10 weeks and I literally use it twice a day. I contacted the seller for a replacement or a refund. He wasn’t interested and told me to contact the manufacturer. Guess what, they weren’t interested either. They were trying to tell me the warranty didn’t cover the handle because the kettle still works. Amazon have been great and are trying to get me a refund from sqproffessional. If they don't refund me within 48hrs then Amazon have said they will refund me.I will never buy from sqproffessional again.Beware of Nabiilhah Kumally who is supposed to a be sqprofessional customer care person.He absolutely does not do customer care.Be very aware of the seller of this kettle and the manufacturer. Thank god Amazon have proper helpful customer service agents.

The media could not be loaded. I was wanting a metal kettle to replace our plastic kettle which broke. This one is as everyone states, it is stylish. It also does the expected job of boiling water and the temperature gauge is a really nice feature. It is nice to know that the water is still hot, or warm, at a later time. Also that fact that it is metal no worries about the plastic leaching into the water we consume. It is however, a kettle and it does make noise when boiling and it does take a minute or two to reach full boil, but it isn't overwhelming. The top is easy to remove, but of note is that the circular handle on the top is under the kettle handle, but not difficult to get to or to remove/replace. We often just fill the kettle through the spout anyway, so no need to remove the top. As the top is removable it won't break like the push-button release types can do at times. Also the kettle we had before was a 'standard' type which was tall, and this kettle is more of the 'traditional' type so it is round, obviously, and short, so it doesn't standout as much on the counter top as the taller previous kettle we had, which is nice for us. So very happy with the stylish looks and the operation of this kettle. Happy Cuppa!

So you don’t have to re-boil water if you forget to use it straight after it’s boiled, you can check the temperature on the kettle dial. Lovely blue. Quick to boil.

I really like the colour suits my yellow cabin. Works well. Chic it is. Unfortunately I didn't like the packaging, but in understand the thought of arriving really perfectly and the hassle of having it return, hopefully they can think of a better way for packaging. But still love it

We bought a set toaster and the kettle and less then 3 years Kettle failed PAT test. we replaced the Kettle just over a year ago to re match the toaster. The handle started peelig and leaked at the base. ..Lovely style but just not good enough
