Contaminated
Looks like good quality bismuth however it is contaminated. I assume the storage conditions are lacking sterile procedures. Due to me using this for a chemistry experiment I am not happy with bits of cardboard, fluff and hair found in the packaging.

Fantastic Stuff!
My Bismuth arrived very quickly, it was beautifully packaged and weighed exactly what it should.Above are some pictures of my first attempt to grow crystals. The crystals are a bit rubbish, but that is my fault, as I said it was my first attempt. however the colours are amazing, and there are a few nice stepped crystals, they are just small and didn't keep growing. But I am sure I will get better at it.If anyone is interested I melted the Bi on my stove top using little kitchen measuring pots. I have some made of copper and some made of stainless steel. They worked ever so well (you can see them in last photo).I melted the Bi at cooker's top ring temperature, then i took the pan off the heat and kept scraping off the top layer with a spoon, until the top layer became a nice purply blue colour (the newly exposed melted BI oxidises to different colours as it cools from a lovely gold to blue). When I decided I'd waited long enough I poured the molten Bi into a second pan to, hopefully, expose nice crystals.I am 48 years old yet my wife and I were as delighted as children when we saw the colours change and the little crystals appear. As long as precautions are taken a child would absolutely love to watch an adult try and grow Bi crystals.Right I am off to try and grow better crystals!

- Ist Bismut- entspricht der angegebenen Menge- kommt als Brocken- Verpackung könnte besser sein als die dünne KunststofftüteAm besten dickere Tüten und noch besser zwei davon. Die Kanten reißen sonst beim Transport schnell Löcher in die Tüte und die feineren Bismutteile fliegen dann direkt im Karton rum bzw. versauen erstmal den Arbeitsbereich.Ist aber ansonsten so verpackt, dass nix verloren geht, man also alles feinere halbwegs gut zusammenkriegt.
