Sweet Spot (The Bakery Sisters Book 2)

Audible version. Narrator Therese Plummer is excellent!A very interesting, believable story! Susan sure does keep us intrigued, and in so many places it’s so funny! I laughed out loud at least several times! Most the story is serious and also romantic. My only critsism is the sex is too much, please tone it down some.Also, not a criticism of the book, but I guess of Amazon. There are 3 of these books I believe, but how to know in what order?! I did google it, but not much more help. They are all from the same year. I ended up starting with this one, which I later found is the second one.WHY can’t Amazon say which is which please?!This is true of a lot ot books on Amazon. Sometimes, in the reviews it says, but can take some time for sure.

As the second book in the Bakery Sister series, I started out not being one of Nicole's biggest fans (based on book one). In book one, Sweet Talk, Nicole comes across as cold, abrasive, and unforgiving. Yet, in this book, you see the very sensitive core of who she is trying to protect. After feeling abandoned by both parents, a twin who went off to travel the world as a famous pianist, and a husband that she caught in bed with the younger sister she had been forced to raise, you start to see why Nicole acts the way she does. Into this mix, walks Hawkins, a former NFL player who gave up his career to raise his daughter after his wife died of cancer. He's big, brawny, and a dedicated father. What's not to love?While Nicole has a tough exterior, she comes off to Hawk as a hard sell. Used to getting his way, Hawk finds that he has to win over Nicole and get to know her. Along the way, they hurt each other horribly (adding to the tension of the novel), poking at old injuries, and forcing one another to wake up to the stupid things they've been blind to in their lives.I really liked this Mallery novel. I realize that I usually only write reviews when I really like something, and I suppose that in this case, this fits the bill. I needed a good escape read, to really feel a part of a story, and once again Mallery delivered. I have read many of her other books, and loved several others, but this story was really engaging and made me care a great deal about all characters involved. What more could you want out of a good romance?

Absolutely loved this one! I could identify with Claire, being a pianist myself (but certainly not famous). Loved the romance with her sister's friend and her friendship with his deaf daughter. The sister, Nicole, has a lot of anger issues. She holds a grudge with Claire and Jess for a long time.

I was under the idea that this was the 3rd book. But it turned out that this was a duplicate. You have 2 sweet spot books. Same story.

Just loved this book but sorry don't remember the story as I read so many books per week.

Good book

I'll be honest, my experience with Mallery's books is that they are hit or miss. But this one is a DEFINITE HIT! Great characters (excellent hero!), interesting plot, hot love scenes. But the best is that it's unpredictable--the characters are like "real" people with flaws who make mistakes, etc. For example, the hero does something that would normally be considered really romantic--but it totally backfires. I'm an avid romance reader and I highly recommend this book.

Endlich geht es weiter, diesmal ist Nicole an der Reihe!! Sie erwischt den Teenager Raoul dabei wie er versucht Doughnuts in ihrer Bäckerei zu stehlen. Durch ihn begegent sie Hawk, Raouls Footballtrainer!! Er ist alles was Nicole braucht, aber seit wann ist die Liebe so einfach?? Drews Verrat sitzt tief und auch Brittany, Hawks Tochter, macht ihre Beziehung zu Hawk nicht gerade einfach!! Und dann kommt auch noch eine Schwangerschaft mit ins Spiel. Sind Hawk und Nicole in der Lage ihre Probleme zu bewältigen und der Liebe eine Chance zu gben?? Oder gehen sie am Ende wieder getrennte Wege?? Findet es heraus!!Ich Liebe das neue Werk von Susan Mallery!! Es hat mir besser gefallen als Sweet Talk, das 4 Sterne von mir bekommen hat. Es liest sich wie sein Vorgänger schön flüssig und ist auch für Leser mit nicht so guten Englischkenntnissen leicht verständlich!! Fans von Susan Mallery und denen die es werden wollen, kann ich es nur empfehlen!! Natürlich kommen auch alte bekannte wie Drew, Wyatt, Nicole's Schwestern Claire und Jesse (etc.) vor.Mehr verrate ich aber nicht, da ihr das Buch ja selbst lesen sollt!! Als nächstes wäre jetzt Jesse's Geschichte in "Sweet Trouble" an der Reihe, aber ich werde den dritten und letzten Band leider nicht lesen, da mich Jesse ihr Charakter gar nicht anspricht und ich sie einfach nur unsympathisch finde!! Also werdet ihr zu "Sweet Trouble" keine Rezension von mir finden, nur zu "Sweet Talk" und "Sweet Spot"!!

.. und auch im Nullkommanix durchgelesen... ich liebe Susan Mallery's Familiengeschichten und kann davon einfach nicht genug bekommen..In diesem Buch geht es um die älteste der drei Keyes-Schwestern.. Nicole..die in einer Bäckerei arbeitet und gerade ihre Scheidung durchzieht, nachdem sie ihren Mann in flagranti erwischt hat.Und wie sollte es anders sein.. wenn es am wenigsten erwartet wird, steht er vor einem: der Mann, der einem Herzklopfen verursacht.. in Nicole's Fall ist das der Trainer der Football-Mannschaft.Plötzlich kribbelt es im Bauch.. und man hat plötzlich Problemchen die man vorher nicht hatte... phantastisch!LESEN... und hoffen, dass bald September ist und der dritte Band herauskommt!!

Susan Mallery weiss zu begeistern. Auch in dieser Serie der Buecher hat sie wieder brilliant geschrieben. Man kann sich sehr gut in die Figuren reinversetzen... Wuerde mir das Buch jederzeit wieder kaufen!

Enjoyable read!

Anfangs ist das Buch noch gut zu lesen, jedoch zweifelt man je weiter man kommt, am Geisteszustand der handelnden Personen.Die Tochter (minderjährig!!), die die ganze Zeit als klug beschrieben wird, will am Ende schwanger werden, weil ihr Vater ihre eigene Kindheit als märchenhaft beschrieben hat.
