(Black) Satellite Dish Cover - Snow and Ice Protection for Directv and Dish Network

Excellent product. This satellite dish cover works as described. It actually protects the dish from ice and snow. After a storm with snow and ice, this cover protected the dish and absolutely had NO disruption of reception during the storm. This is the first time that has ever happened. The only issue I have is that the elastic tie to hold the cover on, is too thin and does not work. I had to put 4 bungee cords to hold the cover on the satellite dish to prevent the cover from coming off and blowing away. Very satisfied with this product!

I retired in Oregon from SCAL. Never learned the differences between wet snow, dry snow, sticky snow, powdery snow, etc. you get the idea. So, we were losing satellite signal continuously until we bought this. However, although it mostly repels the snow, some kinds of snow still stick but I would estimate it repels about 80% of the snow based on type. So, its worth it but you may still have to use the broom on occasion.

Had it several weeks now, it finally snowed. There was 2 inches of snow stuck to it this morning, no satellite reception, until I swept the snow off. The total snow fall on the ground was 2 inches. Works just like a magnet.11/16/17 Rain. When it gets saturated, the reception stops. Took it off, rain continued and reception worked.After having it last winter. Wet snow seems to stick. I am about as far North as San Francisco. As you go further North the satellite is lower in the sky and the dish steeper. So maybe it will work for snow better further North. Disappointed here.

This is a great idea. My husband is now disabled, I am 73 year old woman and cannot open up the extension ladder to get on the roof to clear out the dish when it snows. This made it through last winter with no problems.

I really had high hopes not having to trudge out in snow to clean off my satellite this winter. This worked with light snow we had earlier this winter and I was happy with the performance. But the Midwest often gets heavy wet snow. The snow collected on the cover instead of sliding off the cover.

This was one of those things that looked promising, but in my case it didn't help on my OrbyTV dish.I left it on for 4 snowstorms to give it a fair trial.It could be the more oval shape of the Orby.. I don't know.. but in any case, despite repeated attempts, the cover would go slack and encouraged snow to accumulate at the bottom of the dish, affecting reception.I still needed to remove this snow, but the cover made this more difficult compared to the bare internet dish next to it because the cover formed a pocket.The seller was a quick shipper, and provided a free return label, so no complaints about that.Perhaps it would work better on a more circular dish, where the tension of the drawstring would be more even around the dish perimeter, but in my case, the cover didn't help, thus the return.

Super easy to install on my DISH satellite dish. It has worked great during all of our snowstorms. We did experience some minor loss of signal when the snow was falling heavily, but that is due to volume of snow in the air, not the cover. It is made well and holding up good so far (this is our first winter trying a cover).

Yes easy to install, but after a rain then ice turning to snow. It gathers in the cover. But 1 hit and it falls off.
