Four Corners Mycological Society
As the president of the Four Corners Mycological Society, based in SW Colorado, we incorporate all Four States into our club. I highly recommend this book. It is a reprint from an earlier rendition, I believe from the 80's... and so there is some information that is antiquated. But that is okay..It is a good base book for anyone foraging for mushrooms in the Rockies.Mush Love!!!~Rayne

Not really a field guide
95% of people who would buy a book like this mostly just want the common name and the edibility. This book drops the ball on both. As far as being a scientific textbook it's probably okay, but why not add the two items that everybody is looking for? Leave this one at home when you're out in the woods actually looking for mushrooms.Other notes - I've been using this book than I thought I would, and she does include common names more often than I thought. However, she also uses the metric system, and this American has no idea how long a centimeter is...... overall I bumped it up another star

Makes a great gift
I bought this as a Christmas gift for a very outdoorsy guy in my life. He uses it to cross reference mushrooms he forages, it's super useful for our Northern Colorado region. Great full color guide!
